We ladies don't really care about bragging, I just want to beat Tony, just once! LOL, JK Tony. No, I really do.

        • Last time we went I was racing Tony a few times for some reason and every time I would go get my slip and I would say that little V6 beat me again! The guy would just laugh at me.

you are all over reacting on this, big time. There are not going to be any "haters" bothering you at gld. The mustang guys that we have met at the track have all been great people, even when they beat us on the track. Please stop making off the wall assumptions, especially if you haven't been to the track. And if you want your own private track day, scratch up 5 grand and schedule it.

Kathy, nothing to worry about. I originally PMed Bubbles asking for permission to post this on other sites to see if we could get some friendly competition going. The "trash" talking is just normal for mustang vs. camaro people. But I assure you that we will all have a great time, and have fun. I for one, cant wait to race some of you here. I have been itching to get next to a strong LS3 with the driver mod installed, and see what I got. I wouldnt worry about anything accept how many mustangs you are going to wack!!lol. This is going to be a blast, you will see. No money racing or crazy people allowed as far as Im concerned. Just a great event to kick off the season, something we will all be talking about and ordering mods for the next one. Besides, how many of you here want a piece of my 5.0??? LOL. Im very excited about this. And as Priz said, anyone with shine juice out will be ejected.......hahahahahahahaa

                    Nice..

No DRs here.. Still the same old PZeros... I'm hoping to have my short throw in to see if it'll help me any on my no-lift-shifts... Though, I'm not counting on much since I've radically altered my suspension and will have to re-learn my launching there..

And for the record, for all to see.. While I'm proud of my own 11s time slip.. I'm fully aware that it's just barely an 11 and for 560 tire, I should be much lower.. So, if anyone is worried about getting smack talked... try having 660 crank and just barely running 11s.. That's bolton + DRs time.

I don't worry about getting showed up at car shows by people with more time and money in their cars, not coming away with anything, etc.. So, if you're new to racing or haven't done it in a while.. It's no different. You can't expect to just drive on to a track and outrun those of us that do it frequently and have the car/driver tuned for it...

I was with ya on that a few years ago when I had my blown C6. 570rwhp, and I couldnt run faster than 11.70s on street tires. Granted it was at 131mph....lol That car would spin through 3rd at the track on the stock runcrap tires. Then would pull top of third to forth at that mph. It was sick. 10s car forsure. Luckily I sold it having never put a DR on it. And guess what happened. The new owner put a DR on it and broke the shit out of the rear end in days of doing it. Bullet dodged for me..

Wiki, we will literally have to drop your tire pressures to nothing to get you to hook. And forget about powershifting. You are going to spin inbetween gears no matter what. A nice off idle launch and speed shifting should get you your best time to date. Anymore than that, and you will be wasting your hard earned HP.

good way of putting it. I have only made 3 passes on the track in my old camaro about 5 years ago. So yes I would love to win a race but I don't think I will.

I was proud of this back then lol

That right there is one of the biggest concerns for me. I don't have the liquid clutch to pad my launches and this car is my only one. I haven't noticed any tire spin between shifts after 1-2, but, I do have the computer still somewhat on during the runs. When I took it off, I bounced off the limiter off the line, through most gears and it got really crazy.. No thanks... I'm guessing the controls are still limiting throttle position for me with it on, so that may be why..

Also, I have Road America the very next weekend.. So, I'm not looking to thrash the car just to break it before a non-refundable weekend that will last longer.

                            I was running 16s with my old C1500 pickup.. Even after a 350cui, Holley 4bbl, Performer RPM manifold/heads, and a 282/288 .510/.520 cam, T-700 w/ 2400 stall, 3.73 posi, etc. I still only ran 14.6s...

That Steeda GT I had ran roughly the same times...

                            It wasn't until my 02 TA that I almost hit 12s with a 13.18 @ 108.9

This Camaro is my first 12 and first 11...

It is possible to do it.. You need a well prepped track, good weather and tuned driver.

If you're still young, I wouldn't worry about it... Just race against yourself, you'll be just fine.
