Pretty simple process of elimination. I also called around for some assistance And as I have been told the drivers side does create or carry a certain level of pressure. Especially with my supercharger connected directly to the drivers side valve cover via the catch can. With this pretty valve cover that is just for looks, Well I was able to fill the catch can in 100 miles do to the amount of suction from the blower and the difference in the oil and air movement . So the valve cover does a hell of a lot more than nothing based on what I have seen Cause again once switch back to other valve cover no more filling catch can either.
the only pressure that a valve cover sees is from the crank case pressure/oil pressure.

but i agree is possible with a certain shape you can have more oil forced into a catch can if the placement of vacuum hose is more convenient for oil to be sucked up.

I am was simply highlighting that is no such thing as adjusting a tune for any reason for a valve cover. What your example sounds like is you had an excessive amount of crankcase pressure. If you do not vent that enough then it can cause problems with oiling like what you state. But once again is not a tunable change.

and just making sure, you dont have a catch can hooked up to a vacuum source or manifold feed do you? that will cause problems down the road as well too if you do.

Believe it or not, the curvature of the valve cover and the placement of the vacuum tubes in I too had thought it odd but believe these valve covers we have as stock, makes a difference in the amount and manner saturation of oil over the internal parts. I too had a choice of buying fancy valve covers for my engine and chose not to after I did some reading. I chose instead to powder coat mine and keep the vacuum and oil saturation where GM apparently wanted it. If I were to guess, I think it is because of the vacuum created in the cover set up that helps with the oil saturation but what the heck do I know, LOL

Pics of the catch can install??? Was it an RX catch can? Their directions are incorrect that they send with their catch cans and you actually need to cap off the clean side opposed to leaving the hose connected. Post up a pic of the install.
