you should see the pic in that thread of the export/european version of the 4th gen side mirrors... just as bad, if not worse. european rules require foldable mirrors, and the larger size, apparently. dont know about the integrated reverse lights, but the rear turns must be amber, and there must be a rear facing spot light- one of the reverse lights is likely wired for this.

The Audi R8 Gt has the back up lights integrated in the tail lights. But it doesn't have gawd awful large side mirrors.Comment

But yea, those tails are odd/ugly -- still haven't seen them up-close though.
The side mirrors should be engineered to be the same as they are in the US, but add the turn signal wrap-around, albeit a more stylish implementation. I like what showstopper does, but it doesn't wrap around, and no arrow on the mirror for full visibility. Space limitations, supposedly...
