A/C belt moving forward

Okay my A/C belt is off the pulley and moving forward making it squeal really loud. I am scheduled to bring the car in on Wednesday for service. My question is can I cut the belt off? Will I just loose air conditioning or is something else powered by that belt that I need the next few days?

Yes you can get rid of the belt. I personally removed my AC altogether. One beautiful feature Is the AC is driven in its own belt.

Thanks SYCK SS, I cut off the belt, no annoying squealing for the car show tonight.
