Factory stripes scratched, again... /sigh

I just got these stupid things replaced for scratches and fade about 2 months ago and now the two on the trunk are scratched.. AGAIN!!!

These factory vinyl stripes just suck.. I think after these go totally bad again, I'm just going to get the stripes painted on.. This babying them crap is getting really old.

I just need to get a new hood before I have them painted on. Kim kinda likes the hood with the "backwards vent things" on them as she calls it.. As much as I'd like to have a ram vent on it, I don't like the double opening look and I'm not too impressed with any of the mail slot blanking panels I've seen. On the look out now for a nice hood with induction vents on the sides

So as soon as I get the current mods done and paid down some, I'll probably just get a hood and have someone here locally paint and install it along with spraying on actual stripes.

I would love to do a different hood also but with having the mail slot it kind of messes that up. Having a vented hood plus mail slot just does not look right to me.
If I had a sixer I would have no problem changing out hoods.

2 ways to fix that...

Swap to a V6 front end (super stealth!) LOL

Get the mailslot filled in... it's only plastic!

That sucks. Painted stripes would be the way to go. I bet you also get alot of wax buildup along the edges of the stripes. Shoot me a pm. I could put some color samples together for you.
