In the 4th gen days I was one first guys to do a lot of mods, and occasionally I regretted that (don't want to bore you guys with all that detail).

But I drag race a lot and the 160 thermostat is a given for me. Even if it takes just 10 minutes less to cool down my car it's totally worth it.

That's what I need. I have the proof they were all looking for. I was able to pull my best time when my temps were all cooler. Its common sense. Not only were my IAT through the roof on my later passes from Sunday, but so were my coolant temps... I will attempt this too. Thank you for the insight grandpa john ;-)

Read my last post, I'm indulging my sense of humor.

Who has a stat for sale?

I've just been doing the heater trick in the staging lanes. I have it on full hot and high speed. I only shut it off when I'm backing in to the water box. Don't know if it's truly doing any good, but its' something I've done since my old 350 4bbl truck.

Yeah it probably takes you even longer too cool down with your setup.

I'm not expecting an ET drop for me, though I might see a smidge. I like to round-robin the car because I try little ideas on how I leave on the tree.

I don't usually tote ice bags around with me to sit on the Maggy like the Termy and Lighting guys would always do..

John, that site's not really ready for you to be mucking it up with facts, data and experience...

yeah, thats the hardest part about my setup. I used to hot lap because i just like tweaking little things i do and its a ton easier if you do it back to back. So part of my issue is my self discipline haha

Until I get the job and car thing sorted out, racing is out for me.... I can't risk breaking something (at this point, it will be something $$$$) and be without a car or a huge bill..

Get a room you guys no need to pollute this thread.

Meanwhile let's all think about how I can end the year with a 12.3 with the stock converter.

remove front seat, back seat, back cushion, back seat belt harness, lightweight battery, engine cover, borrow a set of 18 inch wheels. and i think you got it no problem
