I would lean towards a blower but I'm no hurry, I'm going to run 11.99 SI before I do any of that stuff.

Now is the time with the better air, if you make it to Byron next week you can try my drag wheels out if you'd like.

I have 20" DR's on back but thank you. traction is not a problem, I had the opposite problem in Norwalk.

I wish I could say the same thing. I know you had a long weekend but it would be nice to see you out at Byron Sunday. Actually get to meet you haha

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

We are also going out to Indy for the final LSX race of the year with the Outlaw Radial car Oct 13-15. So consider me out of for Byron.

Any local have skinnies, any idea what they weigh? I'm seeing something like 30-35 lbs for tire + wheel, vs I think 60 lbs for a stock front wheel/tire combo.

yeah i have read the same thing and that is going to be a purchase made early next year i think. I have also heard a cheaper route is GTO spare wheel. They are way lighter and you can fit a pretty skinny tire on it. At least thats a budget skinny

Not sure if GTO spares fit, but Cadillac CTS spares can work:

CTS-V spares as front runners on GINGER - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums - Camaro5.com

I've considered this (plus can use one as spare) but I'd absolutely want a taller tire no way I'm running less than 27" tire front or back car starts looking lame.

yeah just did a little more research and the GTO spare works with a brake swap to where the CTS will clear stock calipers BUT WITH A SPACER . And i agree i would want a bigger tire as well.

They do make 28" skinnies but only in 17" sizes. I did a ton of research on track wheels for a 5th gen and your best bet is Weld RTS. Not cheap though. I'm happy I can run GTO spares with 17's on the Vette. Cheap and easy drag pack. I do run a 1.5" spacer just so they don't look as dumb.

Yep I'm all over the 17x5 Weld + MH Tire combo I'm even a Weld dealer, but I'd be into them at $1200 and that's cost for the wheels so I don't have a lot of urgency yet.

i believe i saw a full set of RS-T's front and back with rubber for sale on C5 not too long ago. But i think he was asking $3k for the whole set which isnt bad but like you said a lot for right now.
