  • New Wheels - Deerfield Tire

Just want to thank GMan for the work he and his team performed on my car today with the wheel/tire install, the color matched lugs and working with me on my little suspension snafu... Here's a quick pic of the new setup (no, I've not gone red.. My cell just doesn't understand IOM )

These are the Matte Gunmetal Grey TSW Nurburgrings in 20x9 and 20x10 on the OE size P-Zeros w/ offsets to align them better with the fenders.

You're gonna need a new phone since it will make your grand sport look red too.

Those are nice. Are they reasonably priced?

Nice wheels. Your car looks like a tomato though.

Looks good! Really like those wheels. I hope your luck with the suspension turns around fast.

I have a couple things I'm working on getting fixed that are about to put me in the looney bin.. I don't really want to say more than that about it now, until I can work with the mfg more on the issue and figure out just why it happened..

Car is still down when it comes to driving around for things not required.

I had already pre-ordered the wheel/tire, so, I didn't want to stiff someone that has never done me wrong and my left front OE wheel is just horrid after Road America.. I cooked the refinish to the point of it looking like cheap spray paint now.

They do look very nice on the car and yes, the IOM comes out Tomato Soup color on the Droid Bionic. It acts this way with other colors as well..

As much that has gone wrong with the car, the vast majority of it has been issues with aftermarket stuff.. Only small things with the OEM parts have come up and those got resolved easily by dealer work..

I have been very fickle and flakey with the car, mostly because I don't tolerate strings of problems on 1 object.. For those caught up in that, I apologize... Trust me.. It's irritating me.. Hell, I'm the one that's stuck in the thought loop... You guys just don't see it much because you don't see how I am with the other stuff I tinker around with.. I junk whole segments of code at the office when it starts acting up or not turning out how I expected it to be.. It's just easier and cheaper to punch out scripts than it is to fix oil leaks, busted parts, melts difusers, etc... \

Not to mention that I got the added bonus here recently of being told the lady I went after for rear ending the car last June is just a dead end.. No getting my money back on that mess.. She actually has been arrested here recently for theft from Kohls.. /figures. They even came back and said she doesn't have anything they can even take to make up for their losses (StateFarm)

When I was younger and employed at lower $$, I was stuck with what I had and had to make do, even if I hated it.. It's rough doing that now when one has the means to get something different.. but, I know how I am with cars and I don't like leaving stuff stock long--- even though I always tell myself that the next one will stay stock (like a hangover plagued persons says about the next party). It's just really rough to not have space, time, tools, etc. to fix some of the more minor things that go wrong and it makes it even more irritating when I fork over 800 here, 1000 there, 300 there all on labor for things that I can do myself..

It just makes a person go , then , then , then some with a little in there and finally a

This stuff used to be relatively cheap to buy, cheap to mod/work on and not so problematic to deal with when it goes all wonky... But for a while now, I can't tell if I'm mad, hurt, let down, jealous or just plain old bored with it all...

Hope all goes well and you get it all worked out.

The wheels do look nice. If you do go the route of selling it let me know I would be interested in the wheels.

Remember when it comes down to it, it's just a car in the big picture.

The new wheels look great. You have good taste.

Hard to believe the difference in weight. 24 lbs for the 20x10s should help at the track. Thought I was going to get to test mine today at BlackHawk, but I'm getting my concrete driveway replaced and expanded so the car is land locked in the garage for at least another week.

Pete, I paid $1300 for 4 20x10s from DiscountTire.com. That was shipped, no tax.

I got a great deal from the local DiscountTire for my Michellin Pilot Super Sports to fit them too. I went with a 285/35-20 all around. Even with paying sales tax, no one came close to the price they charged me.

It's a pretty decent wheel if you can make the stock offsets work for you. Color choice is limited but wait time is usually less than a week.

I can get customized offsets as I did for Randy. So it is not true you do not have to stay with stock offset. In addition they can be powder coated additional colors if you like. They are very light weight and look great. Bannonm glad lad you like the Michelins they are rated pretty well anyone interested should check with my price though. I am less expensive than Discount tire. I do alignments the majority of their locations do not do alignments. In addition I offer the club members free nitrogen as well. Remember i am not just one retail location.I have 13 wholesale locations in seven states and sell to places like discount tire and NTB and Tire Kingdom and Just Tires as well as car dealers and other repair facilities all over the country every day.So I have large buying power most single or even multiple retailers do not. Depending on model style and brand I can save you a little to quite a lot on tires for your Camaro or any car.

Here is a photo of some of those wheels in a custom offset as well and a custom powder coat color of gloss black. These are with 305/35/20 in rear and 285/35/20 in front.
