Yes there's a TSB out for the malfunctioning folding seat lever. They can fix it.

My driver's seat had gotten progressively worse and a couple weeks before the repair I couldn't get it to fold down at all because the lever did not engage. The passenger seat had gotten harder too. I don't know if it's because I use them so little or I just got bad levers, but both had problems. Most people only report one side having a problem.

Ya. My pass. side world fine. It's the only side we reallyuse but it'd be nice for the other side to work. It never has and it makes it hard to get stuff out at times.

            PM sent.

On top of all this, when I went to pickup the car the 2nd time this work was done, after being told my car is ready for pickup, I was turned away because they were still waiting on payment from the Extended Warranty and had to return after the weekend! No courtesy car even offered.

Now why would you tell customer the car is ready for pickup if the payment has not yet been completed? I was told I could pay in full and wait to get reimbursed from the Ext. Warranty -- no thanks.

Please help me make the corrections by sending me your info so I can bust out some whoop as@..

Mine's a 2011, so pretty much all Camaros. Maybe they fixed it for 2012, but who knows.

What a joke, I have very low confidence in this shop from this experience. I mean if a window does not raise fully after a repair, why would you ignore that and call a customer to pickup their car?! Sloppy, disappointed.
Checked into this, The difficult part of dealing with aftermarket warrenty companys is we have to play by their rules. In this case they required us to us a aftermarket window regulator that was not up to O.E. standards.
Only after multiable attempts to make it work we finally convinced them to let us us a GM part.
That being said, I have no excuse why you were not kept in information loop, Two years after the repair I'am having a hard time finding out finding out all the details. My Guess is that there was a disconnect between the Tech. and the S.A...Sorry that you had to deal with this.

Ok, first.... The dealership probably ate the difference in price for the part and possibly labor to be able to install a OEM regulator that YOUR aftermarket warranty wouldn't cover. Secondly I don't know anyone who would release a product or service without payment. You have no idea the shady crap these aftermarket extended warranties pull. The service advisor was probably betting on a quick turn around on payment by your NONGM extended warranty. Had you bought a GMPP this would not have been an issue on either points, part or payment.

These extended warranties that are advertised on the radio, telemarketing or via mail are junk. I have seen them put literal junkyard engines in to fix an issue and the engine they sent has more issues then the first! And then fight you on payment, hours, and labor rate.

We offer GMPP and a crappy cheap alternative, I won't sell the second one we offer because of their practices. You get what you pay for.
Racing is my life, everything else is just minor details.

You mean you try and sneak in the gmpp into the monthly price and don't say anything when making a deal. Both advantage and castle tried that bs with me, they didn't listen when I said I was a CPA and knew to the penny what my payments should be.
