Hello, everyone!
I just wanted to stay that it feels good to finally be a member of C5G. I've wanted to join for around 3 years now and have finally gotten around to it. It is a honor to be in such a great club with all of you. I'm sure that I'm going to have a good time here and I can't wait to make it out to my first meet/show. I have been a Camaro enthusiast almost my entire life and it will be nice to talk to/ learn from you guys.
For what it's worth, I live on the far north side of Chicago. That being said, the Camaro does "sleep" during the winter months.
As for my car, it's a 2010 2LT/RS auto that was purchased in September of 2009. As of today, she has a little over 16k miles. I haven't done any performance mods yet but those will be coming next year. I kind of wanted to wait until the powertrain warranty was up and I actually had proper funding for quality parts . My daily driver LeSabre that I've been working on has been eating up time as well...
Here's a list of what's done to the car so far:
- License Plate: Illinois 66 "SIXER".
- Hurst shift lever
- Billet pedals (forgot the brand off-hand)
- Camaro dash emblem
- Sequential tail light harness
- DRL bypass harness
- Yellow DRL lens tint
- MGP caliper covers - red
- Engine plastic painted red
- The most important, little "RS" valve stem caps .
Even though the car is only approaching 5 years old, it already has sentimental value and I intend to hold on to it. My goal isn't to have the fastest and most powerful Camaro; I just want something I can enjoy.
Thanks again and here's to many a good time with C5G!
