    Hey there!

My name's Meghan. I'm 21 years old and a photography student at the Art Institute. I should probably make it clear that I do not own a Camaro... I wish I could say otherwise. Haha. So you're probably wondering what I'm doing on here... Well I've recently immersed myself in the world of car photography. I've been working a lot with the Chicagoland Mustang Club and they've been great but I would like to branch out and start photographing other cars as well.

So I guess what I'm asking from you guys (and gals) is would several of you be interested in meeting up at some point so I can take pictures of your cars? This would be completely free of charge to you... I'm just trying to build my portfolio and car photography is something I enjoy doing. If any of you would be interested just let me know and we'll figure something out.

Also you can check out my photos at Photography by Meghan Lynn | Facebook

    or

Meghan Michalek on the Behance Network

    Thanks!

Are you in the city?? I am a photographer also, but so far I haven't captured my car the way I want to, mainly because of the shine and trying to pickup the metal flake in the stripes. I know it needs lighting, but I have not had a chance to try anything out. Love to meetup and exchange ideas.

Sounds good, could always use good pics. We have some great spots near the lake here in Milwaukee, or even downtown within some of the older buildings

That's awesome! I haven't been up to the Milwaukee area yet but I'm sure I could find a day to do that if you could round a bunch of people up for a shoot. I would need a little advance warning because I have a 22 month old son. So just give me a heads up on when would be good for you.

Sorry I should have specified... I'm in the suburbs of Chicago, specifically Tinley Park, so I'm really close to the city. I found some pretty amazing places to take pictures with the Mustang club. If you look at my pictures there is this loading dock that has pretty decent lighting because it's more of the fluorescent lighting than the tungsten. I don't actually have any studio equipment yet so I'm making the best of what I've got.

Haha. I bet! I see that you're from the Rockford area... Do you ever make your way over to Chicago?

Nikon. I just have the Nikon D3000 but it gets the job done. Once I get my degree I plan on upgrading! How about you?

I wouldn't call it branching out, going from shooting Mustangs to Camaros would be more like reaching for nirvana.

Awesome! I will definitely try to make it... It may be kind of hard with my son because I think his father works but I'll definitely try! Thanks for the heads up!
