  • Newbie seeking some guidance.

    Hello,

I am making the move from Mustang to Camaro this weekend. I was just wondering if anyone had any Naperville area dealers they could reccomend. Trying to stay away from the "jags" from the get go, anyone that gave you exceptional service?? Trading my GT in for a 2LT this weekend.

    Thanks,
    Al

I use Dan Wolf in Naperville. I go in and deal with Sean Drane only in the Service Dept. He takes good care of me and my baby and knows my car well.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

I purchased my car from Wolf Chevrolet in Naperville, If you go there ask for Kevin Fortman. He should be able to get you below dealer invoice.

Congratulations on your upcoming purchase. It is a fun car to drive.

Oh hell, I thought you already had one. DW also has a used IBM SS w/after-market speed work and an ABM SS that you might be able to get for the price of a new 2LT. Worth a shot.

I had a great experience with Bill Kay Chevrolet in Lisle. Looks like they have a bunch of Camaros in stock.

I have had service work done @ Dan Wolf, the service department has been good to me. I actually purchased mine from one of our sponsors, Newman Chevrolet & "Camaro Scotty" Top notch! I did stop in and shop at Phillips Chevrolet, one time with a bad sales guy, the last with a good guy, but ended up with Scotty because of the deal I got. I did also shop at Bill Kay in Lisle, they were nice enough, I just wasn't ready to purchase at that point.

Most dealers overcharge for them. I have had 2 through my credit union, and they were reasonably priced, (one paid for itself in 2 trips to the dealer) and I could choose the level of coverage I wanted and what deductible, if any I paid. Most extended warranties, you can buy up until the factory warranty runs out (bumper to bumper, 36K) so you should have a little time to sort it out.

We ordered ours from Phillips. The saleslady is Jaimie Birks. She was great. They ususally have a huge selection also.
