  • Nickey invite to Autobahn Race Track September 7th !

    Lets go Racing !!

Stefano at Nickey Performance has advised me of a very special RACING EVENT that you do not want to miss.

    Saturday September 7th, 2019

Nickey Performance is renting out the autobahn race track !
There will be novice, intermediate and experienced track sessions.
This is a very expensive proposition and track space is limited.

Any paid Chicago 5th gen member or NicKey Performance Customer in good standing can register for $200.00.

This is very inexpensive for a full track day either way.
Interested parties can write a check (only checks) with sessions desired in the remitter section, No refunds and no rain dates, thats racing.

All cars must pass tech, which is responsibility of the participant and all participants need up to date helmets or can be rented.

More info to follow, but Stefano wanted to give us a heads up so we block the date !

This will be a huge event, Nickey Performance has gratiously indicated they will have lunch for particapants,,,,,,great chance to get out on the track with supervision and safetey crew. Once we are filled up, that is it, no more cars on the track!

The other clubs we are involved with will get a chance too but C5G/CNG has first crack at it.

    THANKS STEFANO !!!

Is there a list of requirements for tech? I did not see it on the website. Thanks.

Basic Tech, but convertibles will not be allowed to run the expert / advanced sessions without an SCCA approved roll bar.

What kind of session would I be able to attend then with a convertible? I have attended similar "beginner" sessions at Blackhawk Farms, but that was with my old car (not a convertible.

              Thanks!

No roll bar in a convertible will qualify for Novice and Intermediate. Coupes qualify for all three classes. (Subject to Autobahn rules)

Novice is no passing, Follow the leader at a very brisk pace (Touring Laps are inbetween sesssions)

Intermediate is go as fast as you want but passing on the straights only.

Expert is pass anywhere you feel safe,

I would like to go as long as no one cares that I'm slow (comparatively speaking).
