    Hello All,
I'm trying to think of some cruises that we could do that involve various stops or other activities besides food. (I know we like our eats, but still....) What do you think about these? Please post your thoughts these or suggest others.
    • Cruise and picnic (state park like Shabonna); games, hike
    • Rockford Cruise (cruise, lunch, something in afternoon like Rosco Auto Museum or zip line, then Hooters car show if it's the right day)
    • Quaker Steak and Lube (Portage Ind). Cruise to lunch. Then cruise to Amish Country after lunch and look around
    • Cruise to Braidwood - polka dot Drive In for ice cream Or Cruise west towards Dekalb for ice cream (need to check parking)
    • Starved rock - cruise, buffet, and then another activity

    Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Dawn

If you need someone to scout any locations around Rockford, let me know.

That would be great! I'd appreciate any suggestions as to what we could do in the afternoon in the Rockford area.

All sound good, although my least favorite would be the picnic. Coordinating who brings what food and keeping it refrigerated would be a little more effort than just a restaurant stop.

But I would be happy to see more added to the driving tours than just a drive and end at restaurant.

I'm good for all except portage, depending on the dates and prior commitments

I assume you are talking about this zip line in Rockford: http://www.ziprockford.com/our-tours/

Tours are 1.5 to 2.5 hours long, depending on the size of the group.

I haven't been to the Auto Museum in Roscoe in years, but remember it being interesting.

Thanks! Yes, I was talking about that zipline. only because I've never done it. I've never been to that museum either - looked interesting online.

I think a cruise to Whiskey Acres in Dekalb for a tour and tasting ,then find some where to have lunch would be cool.www.whiskeyacres.com/

I am aware of what happened in the past. This comes up every year though.

There are a lot of new members in this club and if I'm not mistaken the current board members weren't directly involved in the previous issues.

Is it time to move on and give Volo a shot again?
