  • Vern's Sycamore Cruise, August 7, 2016 Sunday

    Start time: 11:00

    Start location:
    Starbucks 1788 East Lake St.,
    Hanover Park, IL

These are Vern's directions for those of you that have ever tried to follow Vern, well you know you may need a place to meet up down the road a few miles when he decides to actually pull over and say ,
"Hey where the hell is everybody" LMAO

    But First Some Basic RULES to be followed by all Drivers;

    1) CNG does NOT support driving in excess of the posted speed limit on any function regardless what the guy or gal in front or behind you is doing. If you do so, you do so at your own risk and reflect negatively on the club as a whole to other traffic on the roadway. If you feel the speed of the vehicles around you are in excess of what your comfortable with, STOP and Exit the Cruise Safely and Finish it at your own pace.

    2) AVOID ANY SUDDEN CHANGES IN SPEED AND INDECISION, THEY CAUSE ACCIDENTS

    3) PAY ATTENTION! If you look down inside your car when you are in a convoy fiddling with something, by the time you look up, its too late!

    4) WEAR YOUR SEATBELT, No need to get pulled over for something like that and spoil your whole day.

    5) Be mindful, other traffic needs to get on and off the roadway, let them through to enter and exit.

    6) Be very respectful of the staff at any Eating establishment and their parking arrangements that you may visit while with the club.

    7) Be helpful to your fellow club members, If you see someone touching or reaching in a car that should not be, tell someone.

    8) Remember, your with a group, what you do reflects on us all.

        I'm a maybe.
        Haha. I kid.
Last year I think we had 5 or 6 of us and it was fun as hell.
This year we'll hopefully get more takers.
If we get ten or more I think we'll have two separate leaders.
I'll take the nut cases like Clark Grizwald and whoever else likes to push it a bit like myself and JonnyO volunteered to follow in a separate pack for those who don't wear Depends.
This rout is not all about speed. For the most part we cruise the speed limit obeying the law.
Once we get to the sweepers it's hard not to rip.
Then it's back to driving civilized only now with a huge grin on your face.
We stop for a few at a scenic park and then we'll head to Rookie's.
The cruise from the start to the park is only about 90 minutes giving plenty of time for pictures, lunch and bullshitting.
Doesn't get much better for a weekend cruise IMO.

^Vern this sounds like a lot of fun. As long as no family things are happening that weekend i should be down to go! Maybe even do an impromptu cruise in the next few weeks on this route. gotta test out that new tune and goodies i'm getting

I'm going to be optimistic and say that I can do this. My dad's side of the family is in town for a family reunion. But I'm betting that they have to leave early sunday to go home.
