Some members have contacted me about weather contingencies. we have standard operating procedures in place. This is not our first Rodeo.
There will be a Go-NoGo always given 24 hours in advance followed by a
go-No Go four hours before any event.
the four hour rule is picked for those members who travel far distances.
weather forecasts change from day to day in Chicago.
we always monitor the situation and remain positive. after all the big man upstairs likes Camaros anyways. he usually just rains on Mustang events.
Please remain positive and do not post any incorrect weather forecasts to dispell other members from attending. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation !

Current weather predictions for Sunday in OAKBROOK are 51 and a strong chance of rain . The rain that is predicted is currently a very fluid situation. What the weather is in Oakbrook may be very different from where you are at. It seems to be changing hourly. a few hours ago it was 51 and partly sunny and now not so much but they do not know yet where the line of precipitation will fall. We are currently still a GO.

BUT YOU NEED TO CHECK BACK HERE SATURDAY at NOON !!!!

The Rain date will be MAY 15, if we have to pick a rain date.

I will try to make it on Sunday, I just had cataract surgery today and I should be able to see ok to drive.

Demon is now questionable due to Temps and weather. Still wrapped up for winter and has DRs on so not ideal unless Sunday shows real improvement over today.

Sorry folks, due to temperatures that are below normal, The 40-50% chance of rain, and SALTED streets, we are making the choice to cancel this event as an official CNG event. we don't want you traveling on salt streets, standing around in freezing temps and getting your cars all dirty. It would not be a good situation for a first of season meet.
The rain date is May 15 !
