It's time to get ready for the 5th Annual Cruise to Lake Geneva. The 2015 Lake Geneva Cruise will be on Sunday, October 4th.
We had 26 Camaros join the cruise last year and since this is the 5th Anniversary of the Lake Geneva Cruise, we're hoping to top that. If you've cruised with us before we hope to see you again. If you haven't yet had the opportunity, then we hope you'll be able to join us this year. I'm excited to say that there are some new aspects to the cruise this year that we hope everyone will enjoy.
DETAILS:
The Starting Line: We're switching up the starting point this year and will meet at the Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha, WI. The store opens at 9:00am. We are planning on starting the cruise just after 10:00am, so you'll want to get there early so you can stock up on cheese curds and be ready to cruise.
The Cruise: We will cruise to Lake Geneva via country highways and tree lined Rustic Roads while admiring the Wisconsin fall colors which should be peaking around our cruise date. Glacial hills and winding roads and a whole bunch of fun are included on the route. We will be travelling at a safe but brisk pace. The route has been modified slightly from last year to keep it fresh and to include more amazing road fun. This year, we will be taking Back Road in reverse. We'll make two quick stops along the way; the first at Bushnell Park in Burlington for some photo-ops and the second in Lyons for a fuel stop. We should arrive in Lake Geneva between 1:00-1:30pm.
I'm excited to announce that the Lake Geneva Police Department will provide an escort through downtown Lake Geneva this year. This will help keep us all together, provide additional amazement to spectators, and we get to run a red light, legally.
The Pit Stop: The Cove of Lake Geneva is once again sponsoring our parking by allowing us to park in their resort parking lot in the downtown area. We are having lunch at the Gino's East restaurant which is right on the lake and close to downtown shopping. I like giving stuff away, so once again we will have a free raffle for various door prizes during lunchtime. After lunch the rest of the afternoon will be yours to shop, take a boat tour or to explore beautiful Lake Geneva.
Lunch Details:
Gino's East of Lake Geneva. $16 per person, $8 for kids 12 and under; includes a pizza buffet, salads and non-alcoholic beverages, tax and tip. Please pay me (Xello) beforehand when you arrive at Mars Cheese Castle. A cash bar is also available for alcoholic beverages if you wish. This arrangement works extremely well and allows you to relax and enjoy the rest of the day. Thank you for your understanding.
Please let me know if you will be participating in the cruise and how many will be included for lunch (please note if any are children 12 and under).
