Did you try the new settings on the way home by chance? Curious if it helped at all yet.

I did not. Since it was full throttle 3rd to 4th, the speed would have been pretty fast for the traffic. Need to let it out on the Interstate!!!

I'm going to Blackdog tomorrow to talk brakes. Gotta get that solved so I can hold the RPMs at the line.

Ya, the brakes don't hold at tyhe line. I can't get to 2000 RMPs before the car moves and red lights. I want to launch much higher but cannot. Kills my times.

As I explained to Jim it's because cars with cams sometimes will see reduced vacuum at idle and low RPM. Thr vacuum is what feeds your brake booster allowing you to apply massive braking Power... so when there is less vacuum the brake booster doesn't work as well causing it to be much harder to lock the brakes in his instance.

Cool...I've not tried this yet since I've not been to the track with my mods added. I can see the problem with the higher hp and brakes not holding. May have to find a local road and try this. See how far I can go before it breaks loose.

Yeah, it's not the power that's the issue. It's lack of vacuum.

You got a boost gauge freddie? if so what's It read at idle?

Nope, no gauges. I have thought about adding though.

Any boosted car should have at least a wideband IMO... The risk to popping a motor is so great when it comes to AFR.

But pending cam specs you might notice the same issue as jim.

You don't need to try this on some remote road. I demonstrated the issue in a parking spot at Blackdog today. Just push the brake Asgard as it will go and slowly increase the RPMs to see where the brakes fail to hold. We're not talking major movement but a few inches. That would cause a RED light at the strip.

Jim, I just thought of something. I'm gonna review your log at home and see if I can make adjustments to your idle to see if we can increase that vacuum.

                              Any feedback from Blackdog?

Yes, Joel at Blackdog is going to put a quote together for a vacuum pump. He also suggested a brace (ala from a Copo) that stabilizes the master cylinder. I also have a whine in the diff that has to do with how the ring and pinion mesh. He's going to take care of that too. No big deal just an annoying sound when I decelerate.

I'd like to keep the idle as is because I like the sound and shake from the cam.

                                I'll keep you posted.
