Fox Lake Parade July 5th.

As most of you know, I'm now the store manager of Fox Lake Ace Hardware. My store soft opens on the Fourth of July. I was asked by the Chamber of Commerce if Fox Lake Ace Hardware would like to participate in the Independence Day Parade on Saturday, the 5th July in Fox Lake. My idea was to put magnets on the side of my car and invite as many of you that can make it to come join me in the parade. I've already talked with Bee and BlackHawk, and they are going to join me. I spoke with the Chamber of Commerce today and it's okay to have as many cars in the parade as we would like. I thought after the parade, we could take the cars to in front of my store and let people know that they can come there and check them out. I know it is a holiday weekend and I'm sure most of you already have plans, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.



The parade starts at 10:00am, but they start the lining up at 9am. So I was thinking we could meet up at my store at 8:30am and come in together. The address is 107 Towne Centre Ln. Fox Lake, Il 60020. It's in a strip mall next to the Fox Lake Theater by the corner of Grand Ave. (Rt 132) and Rollins Rd. Anyone interested?

Hello Parade Participants:



Thank you for signing up to march in the "Celebrate Fox Lake Parade" on Saturday, July 5. The parade line up is at 9am at Grant Community HIgh School, on the corners of Rt. 59 and Grand Ave, in Fox Lake.



We walk down Grand Avenue to town, and will turn on Rollins Rd and enter into the parking lot of the plaza to disperse.



Attached is a map and instructions and guidelines for the day.

PLEASE BE SURE TO FORWARD ANY INFORMATION ABOUT LINE UP FOR THE DAY TO ALL OF YOUR WALKERS.

Dear Participant:



Thank you for registering for the Celebrate Fox Lake Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday,

July 5, 2014. Line up will be at 9 AM and the parade kicks-off at 10 AM promptly.

As a reminder, here are a few rules and guidelines to follow:



Follow instructions of Parade Officials & the Police Explorers



BASIC PARADE GUIDELINES:



***8226;THERE IS NO PARKING ALLOWED IN THE GRANT HS PARKING LOT

Do not attempt to drive into the lot to drop someone off. Go across the street to Maravela***8217;s and walk them over to the school lot. Vehicles MUST NOT keep their cars parked in Maravela***8217;s lot***8230;.they allow us to use their lot for staging only. Thank you.



***8226;If you have some participants that are leaving their cars at the plaza so they can have it available at the end of the parade***8230;.PLEASE RESPECT THE FOX LAKE THEATRE PARKING AREAS SO THEY HAVE ROOM FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS ON A SATURDAY. You must park in the outer spaces of the parking lot.



***8226;When you enter the parking lot (Area #5 on the map) for line up, you will receive a number to display in your dash for the judges to identify you. Entry numbers are not given ahead of time. Vehicles are lined-up on a first come-first serve basis.



***8226;Please be prepared for the day with your participants. Remind them to wear sunscreen, bring a hat, sunglasses, etc***8230;.and bring water.



***8226;At the end of the parade, you will be asked to disperse quickly, to allow for the flow of other floats/cars, etc. to come into the plaza and drop off their riders.



***8226;FESTIVITIES FOR THE REST OF THE DAY ARE AT LAKEFRONT PARK / 71 Nippersink Blvd, the corner of Nippersink and Oak. The event runs until 4 PM



***8226;For the safety of the parade viewers, candy/materials can only be distributed by walkers, NO CANDY (or other materials) THROWN FROM THE CARS/FLOATS.



***8226;Anyone squirting or spraying water MUST ONLY SPRAY IN THE AIR AND NOT INTO THE CROWD!



***8226;If you are a government agency and/or elected official, please note that on your registration form. YOUR LINE UP WILL BE OFF GRAND AVE. SEE #4 ON MAP.



***8226;Horse teams must have their clean-up crew walking behind them
