Does anyone know if a bug that hits your front bumper at 100mph will leave a mark? That's my 2nd reason for passing on TX. The 3rd reason is the concrete factory. Good luck to all making the drive though!

If you GoPro the trip I'll fast forward 18 hours of the video to get to the good part. :-)

I'd say that depends on the bug... Volkswagen or otherwise!

A friend of mine took a Red tailed Hawk to the face on the 294 a few years back on her motorcycle. It did leave a mark I'm afraid.

The bugs however can cause damage. Missouri is where I get the heaviest bug action.

I know it's a long drive, but I can't think of a better way to spend 15 hours than with my Camaro. I know some people think I'm crazy for driving 2+ hours to every C5G event I attend, but I love my car and love driving it. The time actually flies by for me. That's why I always look like when I arrive.

It's official........I'm not going to the Fest. I've got too much going on right now and things that are costing me money so I've decided not to take the time off nor spend the money for the trip. Would have really liked the drive down, but just not in the cards this year. Look forward to hearing location of 2015 Fest. Guessing somewhere out west.

The weather in Baytown Texas is sunny and 78-83 for the next three days ! Wow I hope they all have a great time, wish I could have gone !
With all the terrible storms, I am glad I did not try and make the drive!
