C5G Picnic Poll

A few members have asked to have a picnic with other members closer to the Southside and we have a few options I need your opinions on to make this happen.

We have 2 locations in the Southwest Suburbs and South suburbs off of the Interstates. The reason we have chosen these 2 parks is that they are conveniently located off the interstate that anyone from the Southside, city, Southwest can attend as well as the most room for members to park.

Please vote so we can nail down a date.

Sundown Meadow Picnic Grove off of I55
Countryside, IL
Or
Midlothian Meadows off of I57
Markham, IL

Maybe not, but this is a nice forest preserve, also, Bachelors grove cemetery is about 10 minutes away from there, you park in another nice forest preserve parking lot and walk to the cemetery.

The whole month of September doesn't look good for Melissa and I so we probably would not be able to attend. Also, I don't know the area well enough to vote.

That's because there's one this weekend in Crystal Lake at End's house... Just trying to cover everybody at one or the other

Might not be enough interest for the BBQ in the South to SW side. If we dont receive more votes will plan for next year.

Again, this is to have some events in this area as we see more events to the north.

Markham, NO ! ! Countryside is better. that's my 2 cents. a little late on the planning, this late stage it won't be well attended.

Every town has their bad side, does not mean the whole town is bad. My aunt has lived in Markham for about 50 years and she live about 5 min away from this picnic area. Countryside is still far north, oh well you are not going to please everyone, but thanks for trying Alex! I know it is about 2 min from OAK FOREST and MIDLOTHIAN, maybe this will help with the fears of Markham

Yep there's a lot of nice towns down south that could be chosen, Orlando Park, Tinley Park, Olympia Fields, Burr Ridge Some of peeps that live down there should start throwing up park names that you have been to for suggestions I guess.
Another nice idea would be Starved Rock, could even make it an overnite thing there.

Or we could find out when one of those towns is having their festival or fair and have our picnic there. Gives peeps something to do with the kids.
