Sunday August 25th, Chicago Fifth Gen Barbeque (Official C5G Event)

It's time for a BBQ! It will be Sunday, August 25th. It will be at my house from 1pm till??? This will be a kid friendly bbq. We have a swingset, a heated pool, and a DJ! C5G will provide, my wife's homemade Italian beef, hotdogs, burgers, soda and water to all paid members. If we could get members to bring something small like potato salad or chips that would be great. We live in Crystal Lake on a dead end street, so just park on the street (our neighbors love when there are 40 Camaros on the street!) There where complaints the last two years about people speeding down the street while reving the engines. Please refrain from the speeding on the street, I don't have much to say about the reving, that's not that bad, lol. Please post your interest in coming and I will PM you my address. This is a way to get together with the whole family and have fun. If your not a member, that's ok, we just ask for $15 to attend to help offset the cost of food. If you pay for a membership before or during the BBQ it will be free to you and your family plus you'll get your t-shirt and sticker! The cost is only $30 for a new membership! We need a list of attending so we know how much food to buy and if you can bring something. You can contact me, any other co-chair or board member for questions. Looking forward to having everybody over again and another great BBQ!

Last year we did an impromptu cruise thru Crystal Lake. If there is an interest in this, maybe we can make up a better route ahead of time and actually plan a time for it this year. Give me any suggestions!

The cruise will start at 4:00pm leaving from my house. We are working on a nice route.

I will try to make this, but not positive yet as I will be out of town on Saturday (family reunion up near Stevens Point). It really just depends on what time I get home Saturday night. I will post back closer if I can make it. I would really like to since work prevented me from attending the last 2 years.
