    SSZL575 Memorial Poker Run – Sunday September 15, 2013

    RAIN OR SHINE!

    The C5G members and board have worked very hard behind the scenes to come up with a charitable event to benefit our fallen member. On September 15, 2013 we would like the invite you all and everyone you know to participate in a poker run to benefit the family of Larry aka SSZL575.


    Details:
    -This is a Do-It-Yourself route - You are free to choose your own journey through the check points to collect your cards for each hand. - Each point has a specific tie in to Larry's events with C5G.
    -Entry Fees: Suggested donation of $25.00 for the first hand, $20 each additional hand with the maximum of 4 hands per vehicle.
    -You must stop at 5 but no more than 7 stops to complete each hand, your final hand and your discards will be collected at the final stop.
    -One additional card per hand will be available at the final stop for $5 per card.
    100% of the donations go to Christy and Ryley.
    -50/50 Raffle -proceeds go towards Larry's family

    All Poker Run spots will be open from 12:00-3:30PM
    (Rockford Hooters to open at 11:00 AM, Deerfield Tire to close at 3:00)
    All participants must be at the final meet spot by 5:00 PM (Final meet spot will not close, will be open 12-5)
    We'll be ordering pizza in for the final stop/awards

      I don't know if I am blind but I do not see a specified last meeting spot, unless it is deerfield tire? (the last one of the list)

                You go to 5-7 designated spots where they have cards. You get a card at each spot. Use 5 cards to make the best hand possible.

                      We worked for a good amount of time to come up with the date that we have, and I don't think we can change it now. There are unfortunately going to be those that cannot make it, no matter what the date is. It's not intended to exclude anybody, but it can happen.

                        We will make it work for Christy and Riley, we were to good of friends to not do this for them and to visit places that we cruised with Larry. We are IN! We will be doing it early, Dave and I, not sure how many hands.

                          I'm in, as long as I'm in town that weekend. Anything for Larry and his family, for sure.

                          I found a Wiki on it to spell it out to me. I am trusting the wiki and comments in this thread!

                          I'll probably be doing this one via motorcycle, since fall tends to be good weather for it. Please tell me we don't have to be in our Camaros for this.

                          September is generally too grungy for me to be driving around my car - give us some flexibility on what we can cruise around in! That said, if Camaros are required... I'd still do it.
