Tuesday June 25th Memorial Cruise for SSZL575 (Larry)

It's with great sadness that we convey the news that we have lost one of our own, to his battle with cancer on Wednesday evening.

Here's where you come in - Memorial service will be on Tuesday June 25th - Christy would like as many of us there with our Camaros as possible.
Location: St Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 South Route 59 Plainfield, IL 60544

Here's the schedule for Tuesday as currently set:

9:00-9:10 Arrive at the church to get our Camaros parked in line with Larry's Camaro at center so that the cars are on display together before the rest of people and family get there.
9:30-10:30 the family will be receiving friends
10:30 Memorial Mass celebrating Larry's life
After the Mass, Christy has requested that we have an all-Camaro rev up salute sendoff for Larry- the louder the better! -Details on this as it develops
There will also be a luncheon served at the church.
Following the luncheon, Christy would like us to have a memorial cruise in Larry's honor back to their home in Plainfield.

Please try and make it if you can, we want to show our support for Christy and Ryley during this time.

Unfortunately i wont be able to make it. I just found out i have a large tumor on my brainstem. I will ned multiple surgeries and lengthy rehab myself. My heart truly will be there though.

For all of you dear friends who haven't yet heard, I'm so sorry to have to share this news, but last evening, Wednesday, June 19th at 9:11PM, I watched my Handsome Prince, my Knight and Shining Armour, my Wonderful Husband Larry take his last breath. In that moment there was a sweet and perfect peace, an amazing grace that surrounded us. I was so blessed to have been by his side. But now, my heart just aches. I desperately want him to hold me again, to feel the warmth in his cheek on my face, to hear him tell me that he loves me. I yearn to feel his presence and I'm constantly looking for signs that he's OK and that he's still with me. I've lost my best friend and the one true love in my life. My family, as I've known it, is torn apart and it all seems so unfair. Right now, my house feels empty and so do I. I just can't explain why he had to leave so soon and perhaps I'll never know the reasons why. I hate this thought of living life knowing he's not here. But eventually I'll learn to carry on because I know that's what he would want for me. He was always the wind beneath my wings, my greatest supporter and believer in my dreams. He is my angel now and I will love him forever and a day. Until we meet again my love. Sweet peace.

Wow, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Especially his wife and son. Godspeed Larry. He was one of the first members in the club and I had the pleasure if spending quite a bit of time with him and Christy. From Camarofest I in Georgia to cookouts at his house. He will be missed dearly. I wish I could make it.
