    CENTRAL IL CAMARO MEET, May 1st @ 11am

    Alright guys, I have been trying to get a meet going here in Central IL for a VERY VERY long time now. I finally got it done! It will be:
    May 1st, 11am @ Ted's Garage in Clinton, IL



    We have some special things going on and possibly some special guests. Rick Bottom has shown interest and we are working on getting NICKEY to come down as well.

    Also, for those interested, in Decatur IL @ the Decatur Airport, there is a car show from 5-9pm by the FUN TIME CRUISERS. The contact person is listed as Jerry Blackwell ph#217-412-8671, 50s-60s music, $5 reg fee. I am told that at last years show there was a real good show with a lot of cars. As more info comes in about this I will add it. Looking to see if there is a site with more info.

    I will be keeping a list of those interested so let me know if you are interested and I will add you. (added the names from other forums, but please confirm)

    Dave, I'll have to be a maybe. My daughter has tee-ball starting in May. I have a meeting next Saturday and should get a schedule at the point. They may not have a game that first saturday. If she doesn't I'll be at the meet.

      Alright, that's cool. Daughter's softball is more important! There is a car show going on in Decatur from 4-7 I believe, and was thinking those that are willing, head down there after.

            That seemed to be the general consensus previously. There is a guy planning on coming from Lansing MI, a few from Indy, IN, not sure about WI....

              I will post it on the WI section I know a few of the guys and gals up there. I say convoy down, but I am looking at going down and spending the night.

                Cool, cool. There is a car show in Decatur that night, Decatur is about another half hour from Clinton. I was thinking those who may be staying over night, drive down there for it to have something else to do...

                  Yep I think we should (the ones spending the night) should if we can hit the car show then cruise to Clinton. What do you guys think anyone making it a weekend trip?

                    Dave_O, thanks for the kind words about my Rt. 66 trip that you posted on Camaro5. After you mentioned this forum I realized that I had joined back in February but forgot about it. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to this show because I will be at the Nascar race in Richmond, Virginia that day. Hopefully they will have a Camaro as their pace car. Enjoy the show, it looks like you put a lot of work into it!

                      Drive by Clinton on Fridays to Farmer City races. It only takes little under an hour to get there from here. AS long as its not raining we will be there. My wife loves taking pictures of cars, she has a ton on central street scene. Hopefully alot of Camaros will be there. See ya there, I,m the orange one! LOL
