  • Thanks! And I agree, I think we should have been in a better spot. We did have the best looking 5th Gens in the whole show. They needed to be seen and out in the open.

    • What a great turnout -- last time I went like 4 years ago there was maybe half the Camaros. Only negative this year was compared to last I went was no picnic -- $2.29 for a little bottle of water? Sheesh. Volo reportedly said no bring food to the clubs, what is it, new management? lol

Yea, you guys up on that hill were very hidden -- I didn't realize Camaros were up there until I hiked up that way...

Saw one 5th Gen with that "black chrome" style wheel -- very sharp! Who had the 5th Gen with all the audio in the trunk with lights and screens? Pretty cool, if a bit over the top.

Guess they also ran out of grab bags -- got there around 11, but got no bag.

      Nice weather for the event...

                • Hi guys, first I would like to say thank you to all of you who came out to the show! For those of you who don't know we raised $4200.00 for the Wounded Heroes Foundation! Which is awesome!!

Now about some of the issues I have read I would like to apologize for you guys getting parked in that back corner. Even if you had 60+ cars coming you should have been parked right at the top of the hill still in the action and that corner should have been used for overflow if needed. Volo building the new showroom really took away from the the car show parking venue! Unfortunately for me I really did not get a chance to walk around and look at all the cars but I do wish I was able to make it up the hill because I would have had you moved over I did not sit down all day manning the raffle tent and taking care of all of that so again I am sorry on that issue and please try to realize that this is only our second year of this show and we are learning and thinking of changes as well. The one person who mention they were at this show 4 years ago that was our clubs "Cruise to Volo" where our club had a cook out for all of our members. As far as Volo's food prices that is out of our control but it is a great venue otherwise to have a show with the museum and shops.

Like I said we are already thinking on some changes for next years show and I am open to opinions with solutions on how to handle them. For those of you who say that your not sure if you will go again next year I hope you do come back because I am personally going to try to make it even better!

If anyone would like to contact me personally please email me at hibrianmichelle@aol.com subject Volo Camaro show

                  Thank you all,

                  • Wow...thanks Brian for acknowledging the concerns of the C5G members. I like how proactive you are on making it better for next years event...most would take the issues and slide them under the rug and forget about it. And congrats on the $ raised ! Its nice to read the positive posts = )

                    • Brian, thank you so much for all you did with this show. I really enjoyed myself and had already planned on being there again next year and offering any support that I can again as well. I love the people and the venue!!! Overall you did an excellent job with this show. I know how much hard work you put into this show. The guests and feature cars that you got together alone was I'm sure a full time job. I would personally like to be more involved with helping you guys out with next year. If you have any meetings for planning, I'd love to be there if you'll have me.

                      • I'll add that I appreciate the hard work as well. Like Dan said, getting Nickey, Lingenfelter, and Yenko, and others there had to be a challenge and alot of work. It was great to see all the Generation Camaros there together. There were some amazing cars in all years. Being the 2nd year for the event, I thought it went very well, especially all the giveaways. Most of the time, giveaways are nothing anybody really wants, but you guys had some very desirable and unique goodies.....Pedders Suspension, Shifters, and the wheel grill was pretty cool!

Nice venue, beautiful weather, my wife and I enjoyed the day very much!

                        • Brian, I think you did a great job! The guests you had plus the incredible prizes for the raffles were a job well done. I could tell you spent a lot of time to make this an event worth coming back to. I'll be back next year for sure! Thanks Again!
