I really don't consider either of my cars "show worthy" . They are "nice" drivers. Its all about friends getting together, swapping stories and having fun.

I've been to a lot of shows (well, with the Camaro) and towards the end when I really had it modded out, I'll admit that it stung not ever really winning anything -- but, you have to remind yourself why you're there and why you're showing. Sure it's nice to get recognized. It's nice to have stuff for the wall, bragging rights, etc... but, the underlying foundation for a lot of these is to get people together for a worthy cause to help pool resources to help ease the suffering of others. I've even offered to some of the kids (with the Camaro) a donut spin around the parking lot, the option to rev the motor, sit in the car, etc. For some, it's likely the only times they'll get to experience such things and that's truly a shame. For we go through life wishing we had more power, more mods, a different color, "to beat that guy to the finish", come in first in class, etc.
They just want to be healthy and have more time to spend with their friends and family.
It really helps keep things in perspective for me.
Randy, I have wanted to do that for a long time but have lacked the time/resources/energy to look into it. Is there some way we could reach out/find some less fortunate or not doing well health wise that we could make their day by giving them joy rides, rides around the track or just something to put a smile on their face??

GO HAWKS!!!!!!!The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Im super proud of my car. Thats all I need. I dont take it to shows to win. I take it to share with people. I take it to shows with you guys because I like hanging out. I like seeing what all the guys have done to their cars since last time, or to meet someone new. Im sad I couldnt make it out this weekend at all Morris and the Chevy show. Hope to see some pics.

Especially when you are not a waxer, no offense , but more of a racer and did not really enter the show expecting, let alone planning, to win anything. There were a lot of others who put much more effort into their cars, between their mods and cleaning, who should have won. Please, do not get me wrong, I am grateful, just shocked.

I even had the opportunity to card someone that I hope will show up here. I don't get a chance to do that very often. He's got quite the collection and would be a great addition to the group. Talking supercharger so maybe some competition for SYCKSS.sigpic

Has anyone received their updated trophy from this event yet?
I just sent an email out to WCC today, since I have not received mine, but figured I would ask here as well.
