It’s time again! To celebrate the coming of the fall season with a trip to Rockford!
Join the gang on SEPTEMBER 23RD as we head out west to visit George and the Hooter’s girls.
For those that have been with C5G have no doubt been to this event before and know what a spectacular time a Hooter’s Rockford cruise can be. For you newbie’s…
The Rockford Hooter’s cruise is the LARGEST the club has all year. The spring cruise generated 67 cars and 115 people,
so let’s try to get to that 100 car mark this time! IF YOU DON’T MAKE ANY OTHER CRUISE, MAKE IT TO THIS ONE!!!!!
There will be FREE wings 
for members of C5G, so if you haven’t done so already, get those dues in. (Dues can be paid at the Itasca meet point or at Hooter’s) We also plan to get support of our sponsors and local vendors for raffle prizes and giveaways. In the past, the meeting points for this cruise have started in the parking lot of the Westin Hotel in Itasca. We then meet up with our brothers and sisters to the north at the Randall Road and then Belvidere toll entrance at I90/39. The entire way up there, we amaze everyone driving on our route with our caravan of 5th Gen Camaro’s. Spectacular for sure!

Cruise leave time 11:00 Westin Hotel Itasca, 400 Park Blvd. In the Parking Lot in Front of the Hotel.
Itasca, IL 60143 Just east of route 355
(Try to be there at least 15 minutes before leave time.)
Second pick up point for the cruise is Randall Rd and the Northwest Tollway, 11:20 on the Randall Rd Ramp.
Last pick up point will be the entrance ramp to I90/39 at Belvidere oasis, around 11:45.
RADIOS / Walkie Talkie (Optional, for communications)Be sure to check/change your batteries in your radios, it's been a while.

Some Logical Rules/Helpful Tips First
1)YOU WILL PASS STATE TROOPERS ON THIS CRUISE, GUARANTEED!! BE SMART, BE SAFE!
2)We will always attempt to Cruise in the right hand lane at the posted limit, except to maneuver around trucks/slow traffic.
3)AVOID ANY SUDDEN CHANGES IN SPEED AND INDECISION, THEY CAUSE ACCIDENTS
4)PAY ATTENTION! If you look down inside your car when you’re in a convoy fiddling with something, by the time you look up, it’s too late!
5)WEAR YOUR SEATBELT, No need to get pulled over for something like that and spoil your whole day.
6)Be mindful, other traffic needs to get on and off the expressway, let them through to enter and exit the ramps.
7) Be very respectful of the staff at Hooters!! AND TIP THEM WELL !! They work hard to make us all have a happy day.
8) Be helpful to your fellow club members, If you see someone touching or reaching in a car that shouldn’t be, tell someone.
9)Remember, your with a group, what you do reflects on us all.
ROUTE FOR YOU NEWBIES:
Take Thorndale Rd West 3/10 of a mile towards expressway
Take ramp on the right to I-290 west toward Rockford (go 4.4 miles)
Stay to the right to take IL-53 North Local for 8/10 of a mile
Take exit on right I-90 West towards ROCKFORD
Continue on I-90 for 52.9 miles
SECOND PICK UP POINT, RANDALL RD, Line up on the Randall Rd. Westbound Ramp
THIRD PICK UP POINT STOP AT BELVIDERE OASIS ON TOLLWAY -
LINE UP ON THE ENTRANCE RAMP FROM OASIS TO EXPRESSWAY, WE WILL RADIO YOU AND OR CALL ONE OF YOU TO ADVISE APPROACHING , MERGE INTO LINE AS IT PASSES.
Take U.S. BR-20 (Business Route) E. State St. Exit
Turn right on E. State St go 1.2 miles
Pass Perryville Rd
PAY ATTENTION,1 block more, Turn Right on North Mill Rd.
