That gray car was the one I was talking about with consistent times . That was freakin remarkable. Pretty nice guy also . His name was Paul. I know the tower called him up there for something, not sure for what but didn't see him make any passes after that. Gotta say your vettes run strong and consistent also. Let's try not to get too out of hand bashing each other here. We could possibly learn something from each other. Sorry if I started a shit storm.

Man that really sucks...........but that's the coolest thing I've ever seen
Running kinda off today, best was 14.549 @ 96.24 (DA corrected: 14.341 @ 97.658). Maybe the switch to Shell was a bad idea...
Btw, If we are playing this game, I have a new PB (with a DA Correction) of 12.26 @ 113.33.
T.
The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.
Then I borrowed Dan's drag radials and went slower. LOL
Don't feel bad.. My dumb arse only picked up .002s from PZeros to DRs... They're tricky to learn.... I'm so used to street tires that it's just a totally different animal for me..
Cool vid, was the CGM the 10.9 guy? What was done to it?
yup that was him. He was supercharged, cam, full exhaust intake, 4l80 swap, and 9 inch rear end conversion i believe he said. hopefully he jumps on to chime in.

yeah me too, i feel like they are so touchy on the launch. Maybe one day i will get it down.

With me not road racing as much as I'd planned on, my next car (if not a C6Z -- or other car w/o the option) will be an automatic (or any of the advanced multi clutch auto-manuals)..
I'm done with stick-shifted drag racing after this vehicle.. It's fun on the streets and other courses, but I'm just bored of the launch RPM hunting, worrying about the driveline, the several thousand for a consumable clutch setup that takes a royal pounding on launches, etc.

im on the same page as you. It is frustrating, but the only reason i keep going is because this is my daily driver. So its just part of the fun. But i am planning on a track car that will be an auto for sure.

Same here.. Well... As DD as one can get living and working in the city.. I guess it's more of a shopping, when I/We are feeling too lazy to wait on CTA or a road trip car -- but, that description doesn't make near as neat of an acronym.
I only have the 1 garage spot at the moment, but if/when I get a house or more space, I think I'll have a nice peppy (11s) DD that's not dinked around with too much.. and, then my all out race machine with minimal creature comforts..
That way, when I break stuff.. I'm less irritated by it..
thats exactly the direction i'm trying to go in. since i am so close i will just shoot for a 10 seconds pass once and call it quits on the camaro. Then ill start my real project. i just enjoy my camaro too much to really continue down the race car path. its comfortable, great looking, and is fun. So i will keep it as my DD. as of now i have a decent 11 sec DD so i really can't complain. im racing my DD not turning my DD into a race car. so we will see what my next project will be.
The 1.6 is on my SS, I've had that for a year and a half. I ran several 1.6 to 1.8 times at GLD, I think that supports that GLD can prep the track. Best times for me are all at GLD (both with my 6 and SS), but I wouldn't claim that really proves anything. Both tracks are fine to run on.
