    Official 2010 Cruise-in Guide

    Ok guys and gals the summer cruise-in season is right around the corner. We'll be hanging out at car shows on summer evenings before we now it. This is a guide to show where and when the cruise-in's are happening across Chicagoland. I will update the list as more shows are posted.


    Monday- Westchester, Wolf & 31st. St. (Dominick's parking lot)
    Rookies, St Charles, 1545 W. Main (2 blocks E. of Randall Rd on Rt.64)
    McHenry - Green St. - Mondays - 6 to 9

    Tuesday- Augustinos, West Chicago, North Ave / Rt.64 @ Rt.59 (in front of Menards, starts 5/18)
    (3rd Tues of month) Culver's, Elgin, near Randall and Huntley
    Lake Zurich, Parking lot by Binny's on Rt. 12, 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm EVERY Tuesday, June through August
    Plainfield, Rt.59 and Lockport Ave., 5 pm - 9 pm

    Wednesday- Elmhurst (Cool cars under the stars), downtown Elmhurst
    Braconi's, Naperville, 796 Royal St George, Cress Creek Shopping Center, starts 5/19
    Cary Cruise Night, by Metra station, 6 pm - 9 pm
    Bensenville Cruise Night, 12 South Center

    Thursday- Frankfort, downtown Frankfort
    Luke's Beef, Carpentersville, on 25 north of 68
    Brick House, Downers Grove, 1461 Butterfield Dr, starts 5/20
    Barrington Cruise Night, Harris Bank parking lot on S. Cook St., 6:30 pm - 9 pm

    Friday- Downers Grove, downtown Downers Grove on Curtiss Street
    McDonald's, South Elgin, 453 Redington Dr (off Randall Rd just S of McDonald Rd)
    Applebee's on 161st and Harlem
    Fradillio's, Algonquin, Algonquin Rd. east of Randall Rd.
    Rolling Meadows, corner of Kirchoff & Meadows, 5:30 - 9:30

    Saturday- Lombard, on St. Charles rd. and Main st.
    Mount Prospect (Bluesmobile Cruise Nights), Metra West Lot at Northwest Highway and Route 83
    Dukes, 81st and Harlem in Bridgeview
    Sears/Kmart parking lot, 159th and Bell rd
    Morris, Downtown Morris (every 2nd Saturday)
    Nanner's Beef, South Elgin, 5 pm - 8 pm
    Augustino's, 59 & North Ave., 8 pm - ??

    Sunday- Rookies, Elgin, 2486 Bushwood Dr (1 mile N of 90, off Randall Rd, starts in June)
    Rockford Hooters car show, 6904 Argus Drive Rockford, IL
    Uncle Harry's Ice Cream Shop, Addison, 6 pm

        I'm not sure when Lansing has there cruise nights this year. I know last year they were on one Saturday night a month. Also, Frankfort has their cruise night on Thursday's. The Morris car show is the second Sunday of October which is a huge car show and swap meet. Last year there were over 700 cars and it was freezing. They said on a good day there could be over 1,000. They do also give a club award for the most particpants. Thunder road productions puts on a lot of car shows and cruise nights out south here.

          Also on the SOUTH SIDE,
          Friday 's there is a big show at the Applebee's on 161st and Harlem and they send their waitresses out to order food and drinks! It gets really packed so come early around 6 for the best spots.

          Saturdays there are two shows one is at Dukes (they are trying to start it up again) on 81st and Harlem in Bridgeview they sell some awesome Itlian beefs, and the second is on 159th and Bell rd in the Sears/Kmart parking lot.

          Also in Morris Illinois every second Saturday starting in June til September? the whole downtown area is shutdown leaving only the businesses open. For 10 bucks you'll get a prime parking spot, and 3 tickets for the split pot. There are on average 500 to 750 cars on any given saturday! Good times for sure.

          Also StraightLine is having an "Open House" on May 1st 2010 their address is

          Come and roast or watch some tires get roasted. I have seen alot of hotrods there before too! Ive been waiting for Speedincs but they havent announced anything yet. They are throwing me out of balance cause that get together is usually the start of the season and is the first day I get my car out! What gives Speed? LOL

                My husband has went past the one at applebees on his way home from work last year and said it is huge. We used to work at night, but now our hours have changed and we can go. Do you know about when they start?

                    I spoke with the guys at Speed yesterday and they should be posting this week about their open house. I'll update the list later tonight.

                    Tony, club attendance is who ever wants to go on that given day I guess. I'll be posting when ever I go to a show.

                          I want to say next month after Easter and when it's nice on Fridays.

                          Thanks for the Speedinc update, I was getting worried and thought it might have been on one of those "budget cut backs" we've been hearing about on the news every where lately. LoL

                            OK I had a business meeting in Morris Friday. I have secured us prime parking in downtown at a great place for food and Drinks!!!! Tiffany the bartender has hooked us up..... She said the last one they had had over 500 cars in it and not ONE new Camaro.... We get to park right on main street all around the restaurant /bar. Need to plan these more after I have a couple more trips down there........
