  • I think the track was cold and didnt see any mid day prep. Early on I managed to cut a 2.006 60 foot on my stock bfg 18's and my witle v-6 prior to the smokin clutch. After that I couldn't get under a 2.2-2.3.

I think the drag radial guys need longer burnouts to help them puppys stick. Plenty of power and a 3800 pound car needs tons of traction to get her leaving hard with out bogging. Saw plenty of the v-8's clawing for traction off the line and on the 1-2 shift.

          • These pirellis really hook good for a street tire once you hotlap it a few times and spin them real good... my tires were very sticky near the end of the day
Still cant beat drag radials but not bad for a street tire

              • I had a great time. Track was awesome and the car surprised the hell out of me. Beating up on all the bolt-on 5th gens was pretty fun too.

                  • Nope, that was me driving hugger's car and it was a 12.9. My slowest pass of the day was a 12.8 on street tires right when I pulled out of tech.

What was your fastest? I saw someone run a 12.4 in it with your DRs on. I was having issues, but was still able to pull that 12.1@116.

                      • Randy made a 12.4 pass in it I believe. Although I thought dans first pass on drag radials was in the 12.4 range also. Either way pretty darn good .

                        • Yup, we both ran 12.4's in my car. I had a slightly better 60's and mph. Stock stall is killing me. I wish I had the money and patience to mod the car piece by piece. After yesterday I'm pretty confident the car could do 11's with just a stall, stock manifolds and airbox.

                            • Well the theory that bad luck follows Mike and that anything that mike had is doomed (from his old Camaro) was shot in the ass yesterday. There were plenty of us that had parts from his car that survived. Seems Randy could be a hired gun to drive any of these cars cause he straps in and gets the big number right off the bat. He knew my car better than I did and the times slip proved it.
