  • Everyone is very helpful and thanks for all the tips. I will probably play it safe on the first run just to get used to it and has anyone really witnessed anyone in a fifth gen getting sideways and crashing at the track?

I personally had the back end kick out on me several times last week. I didn't go into the wall but did have a pretty good scare in the top of second one or two times. But I am pushing over 600+hp at the wheel so I did expect this. You should be fine though.

I am not helping push, it's a long way back to the road.

If you're afraid of breaking something stay home and pull out the shine juice. with the autos you're pretty safe. I hot lap the crap put of my car and it's been fine.

I would change both links just in case the other ones weak. I think that demonstrated a good lesson to us all, its good to put these things up in the air every other month and just look around to see if everything is where its supppose to be. LOL
I'd like to burn the old ones off John Force style!
BUT - there's a nail in the right rear tire, and it loses air pretty fast.
Saturday when I left my house it had 36PSI, by the time I got back home: 25PSI.
So there will be no more racing on these tires. In fact, there may not be any more driving on these tires either lol.

Definitely going to change both end links.
The only problem is getting a warranty replacement part (from Pedders) to my house before Sunday.... ain't gonna happen unless Pedders could re-imburse a local shop that might have it in stock.
Might be tough finding a shop that keeps $195 end links in stock lol.

But then again, maybe I'll pull a trick out of my sleeve.

They go sideways all the time, but you'll be fine.
