  • You guys realize this is an open test and tune day, right? The track isn't doing anything special on who they let in that day. Whoever wants to go is allowed. If you don't like the trash talking then don't listen to it. This is a car club with automobile related events, not the secret sect of the free masons. If you want your events to succeed and give the track a reason to have you there then it's in the clubs best interest to have as many cars there as possible no matter what the make or model.

Most of us are just doing this for fun and they are making it sound like they are doing it to prove which car is better. I wanted to go to have fun and relax. It is not going to be like that at all now.
I wouldn't read too much into my trash talking comment, I in no way think it would be SERIOUS trash talking, but in good fun/competition...

      • Somewhere awhile back I noticed that the list changed and included these other clubs. Didn't really think anything about it other then oh the club decided they are reaching out to participate with the competition, LOL .

          Less cars=more runs

Then you don't know Mustang or Corvette owners very well. When either of these vehicle beat your Camaro, that = HUGE bragging rights!

            • And Camaro owners are different? Don't forget, Plesha and I used to own Camaros.

Less cars = less money for the track which in turn mean less benefit for C5G for future events at that track.

I know, I posted it was test and tune, the difference being you and Hugger can't wait to beat up on the Camaro's, but you are still going to hang out with us, which is great!! It is different if you don't know your competition. We know you guys, come on Dan , just cause we are women you aren't fooling us!LOL

                  • One more question, was the Illinois Camaro Club invited? That would have been awesome! All years racing!
I think that maybe the women of the club need their own track day. I think that Byron was free on Wednesday nights to ladies. Just an idea.

                    • I know there's a little different dynamic over at Chicago Garage since they merged with Chicago SVT, but for the most part, they're good people. A few of those that may show are 4th gen/Pontiac owners...

I haven't raced in many years & would have like the C5G family & supporters to help me. Don't want to hear any shit or trash talking from haters

Trash talking is going to happen. It happens within this club as well. Not quite sure how they are haters...

                        • It all depends on the people that come from those sites. Every site is going to have those real trash talkers but every site will have genuine car people.

Yeah there will probably be some friendly trash talking going on, its natural, but I dont think there will be much (if any at all) serious shit talkers.

You can trash talk & not be an @sshole about it. Hates go for the jugular & are just plain mean

                            • I hope you guys realize that bc it's an open t&t and not a private track day they will show up regardless of being invited or not. Only difference being if you uninvite them they will have a legitimate excuse to talk trash about the club. I honestly don't see what the problem is with people from the other forums joining bc it's not like we were going to be the only ones at the track anyways...

                              • I for one don't give a crap what kind of trash they talk. It's really a mute point on who all shows up since it is a test and tune day. It would be different if we had rented the track out for ourselves. BTW ladies, I know alot of women that have never raced before and go up there and kick some booty. We use to have a reaction time challenge when my old club went. Best one won a prize.
Man that really sucks...........but that's the coolest thing I've ever seen
