Trucks were brought up at the first meeting and shot down. I don't remember why, but Dave and I thought they should be included. Like I said, I assumed when people were picking flyers to be passed out, they were being told no trucks and no bikes. We did not give flyers to trucks or bikes, even though we saw some awesome ones. Sorry to start another problem.
Does this mean that the trophies were ordered though?

Well then someone needs to go back to Steve and tell him buy more trophies, I'm not doing it. This is why we have meetings and invite people to get involved in the beginning. I got no problem with trucks showing up, their just not competing if we have no trophies for them, that's another six trophies we would need, you can't put them in the same class as a car, it would not make any sense.

Don't need more trophies, why can they be on the proper year class? It makes all the sense in the world to me, everybody else does it.

I really hope the parking lot is packed, but with a first year car show you never know, and then we are shunning away trucks?

I know the decision was made, but that is the wrong one, hope whoever made that decision won't regret it.

Besides, we are doing it for Childrens Miracle Network, not trophies. Just like Marc said, why would we want to turn away $25 not knowing how well this show is going to go. I hope we do great!

As a truck owner I would not mind a trophy with a car on it, I got 10 trophies with a car on it, it's not about what the trophy looks like it's about the meaning behind it.

Don't mean to fuel the fire but I also agree with those that said trucks should be allowed. I mean how can you turn truck owners away for a good cause? Like it was said before no new trophies just classify them by year.

Bill, you're not listening to what everyone is saying. No one is suggesting to buy more trophies or create additional classes. What is suggested is that if a 1956 truck shows up, it competes in the 1950s stock/modified category. That's pretty consistent with other shows. If I recall correctly, a mini-van palced in the 2000s class at Morris last year, they didn't have separate car and truck classes.

As much as I prefer that Jose's FORD stays at home, I don't think its wise to turn anyone willing to give us $25 away.

but like I said I am not PO'd because my truck is not allowed I knew it was not going to be for one reason or another but I am a bit PO'd because no trucks at all are allowed, trucks is the best selling vehicle on the US, how many of those are show trucks I don't know, how many of the car owners that got a flyer (like Katy or myself) are also show truck owners and they where told no trucks will not be coming because they might rather bring their truck than the car or both? I don't known

I just think this was a bad bad idea, and I can't believe nobody said "hey that is a really bad idea" even if we had to make a special truck class is it 6 more trophies that big of a deal? (at the first meeting now is too late)

even if we change the rules to allow trucks now I hope is not too late, some of you spent the better part of the summer saying no trucks

I think it was a bigger problem to tell every people you gave a flyer no trucks in the first place.

and what is a bigger problem?

tell truck owners driving in that his truck is not going to be judged? (and probably getting pissed grabing the gun from the gunrack on the rear window (like all good truck owners should have) and going on a shooting spree)

or just asking their year, give me $25 and park there?
