leaving from the hotel in Itasca, going south to 88 is indeed about 1:45 to hooters. - those of us south would likely want to meet you at naperville anyway.

leaving from the meet point in Naperville/Warrenville on 88 is about 1:20 to hooters.

the difference is in the length of time to the meet point. When we go out 90, those of us south have a longer trip up to 90. This time around, if we leave from 88, those of us south have a shorter trip.

I am not sure what the answer is, but it certainly seems that 90 is not a pretty sight right now. I'd hate to split the cruise up into two groups thoguh.

Right. I wouldn't mind 88 either. Just want to come up with the most neutral solution. My first inclination would to have people north or very near the Itasca meet point meet there and come down to 88 to meet those from the south, but I know for people like Tony, that adds an extra 20-25 minutes to the drive to get to 88.

If we were to meet at Itasca, start on 90 and then go north on 176, west on 47, that keeps us off of more than half of the 90 construction, but still will take about 1:45.

If some meet at Itasca and come south to 88, (second meet point) that would take 1:45 also from there, or about 1:20 from the meet point.

I suggest that we sleep on it, and consider it tomorrow, and post a consensus by tomorrow evening, so that we have it planned.

We will confirm route tomorrow evening, it will at least be at the end of the thread, and at the beginning of the thread if a moderator will update the first post.

So far, we seem somewhat evenly split, if not slightly biased towards meeting and going 88/39

There are some of us plotting the 88/39 route.

I will post up the suggested meet times and locations for starting at the Westin, south to 88 pickup point, and then out 88/39 to Hooters. - I am putting that together now. I would like to have one of the board members signify the selection by posting it in the first post. If not board member approved, please post the plan/advisement/alternate route in the first post- sounds like there is a majority that want to avoid 90 at all costs.
