May 14, Multiple Sclerosis Cruisin For A Cure/Yorkville

May 14 and is it going to be big!!
We got permission to show up later and get our spots reserved if we come as a group, read this post AND my edit to the first post.

I just talked with the event coordinator for this when I was in Oswego at a car show. They are spending THOUSANDS of dollars to put this show together, the trophies alone are over a grand, they have tons of raffles, music food. They are not sparing expenses on this from what it sounds like. Trophies he said would start at 3 but he does have 70 or more trophies to give out with all the different classes, I told him he has to run through them so we can be on our way to Hammond, LOL

I confused this with the Oswego High School show witch is RIGHT near my house. I can actually see the school from my driveway but I drove out to Yorkville thinking that was today instead. Damn head.

Ugh, your kidding me, I was wondering where the hell everyone was, and I thought you were coming to Supercar Saturdays too, Oversleep did you? I put the list up for you, heres a thought, print it out each week and stick it in your car. Sorry you missed it.

TBone can go to Yorkville and then Purdue with us. You guys can cruise up together. Are you taking 80 west to Yorkville? If so, I will meet up with you. Dave wants to work on our truck again and then he said that he would work for me and that I can go to this one. I will probably leave around 1 to get to Purdue on time. Hopefully they can judge before I have to leave.

Good question, the flyer is at home on my desk, when I get home late tonight, I will read it and post

if it's raining, I will not be going though I am going to look at the charts later on tonight and post, and I am going to look out my window tomorrow and post, lol

I'm not going if it's going to rain. So far it doesn't look good. Too bad cause I was ready for a show.

The flyer does not say anything about a rain date, I sent him a message. It looks like 50% chance for awhile then 60% around 2:00 then back to 50 % until 7:00p.m. when it jumps to 70 % in our area, Yorkville and Hammond. I dont blame you Larry.

With the weather and the lack of people signing up for the cruise, I think we can plan on cancelling the cruise for now. Those that decide they want to go to the show can post something up and maybe we can get a few cars to drive up togethor. If the streets are wet at 8:00 i will not be going, if they are dry and stay dry until 9 I think 9 would be a better leave time if we go.

Well boys and girls, with great relunctance, I have to bail on this show, rain forecast is 70% from 2-5 in yorkville and our area. That seems pretty certain to me. The radar looks like its heading straight for us and no way to avoid it. I just dont want to drive home in the rain again!
