how about if we get there before 8:00 am lets meet at the Mcdonalds like last year, then at 8:00 am or before we head out to room N-230?

I was going to suggest, rather than the McDonald's, if we were to meet at the base of the stairs where you go up to the second level of Building A (where the room is) -- the stairs to get there, if you are familiar, is right outside of the security barrier to get into the exhibit floor in building A, near where the ticket sales booth will be. (from what I can deduce of the floorplans, the autoshow happens on floor 3)
