  • Is there a set route yet? Are we meeting up with other groups anywhere?

From what I have seen, it looks like there are a few people from Wisconsin meeting up with Xello and coming down, and there may be some from downstate IL that are coming up to go with us, weather or not we meet up with anymore will likely depend on what time we go through Lansing, etc. Larry posted a suggested route awhile back, I would figure that would be the route to go, going through Lansing and then crossing over in Sarnia, NOT Detroit. Then just have to watch out and steer clear of the Toll roads in Canada.

      • As long as we stick to the 402 and then the 401 in Canada we will avoid the tolls. The only one we will hit is the Blue Water Bridge toll at the border in Sarnia. $3.00 US or Canadian each way.

        • I saw on facebook that they have the schedule posted for this weekend. Go under the ontario camaro club. It is on my main page though.

Note that it's the schedule for the OCC club, the schedule of events for the BBOMG group may likely conflict...

            • Probably, but the main thing is the tour.

                  • I have a maybe stupid question, when we paid the $35 that was for the plant tour also, right? I was reading the first page of the occ website at the bottom it kind of sounds like it is first come first served basis. I'm not sure though

                    • Yes, the $35 fee included the tour. It looks like they are closing early registration on Thursday at 6pm. That kinda sucks. I don't imagine that we'll get there until later than that.

                      • Right, that's why I wanted to make sure it was included in the $35. Thanks. Did anyone catch that they are auctioning off 10 chances to drive the ZL1?

                        • It would have been nice if they did a raffle instead to give everyone a fair chance. As an auction only the 10 who can afford it will get the chance.

Yeah saw the times. We'll have to get up early Friday. The zl1 drive would be fun, but i'll be going to the Martinrea plant tour Saturday, so won't be around for the auction that I can't afford, LOL

                            • Some new info from fbodfather...

One thing that the Camaro Team learned many years ago (when it comes to Camaro/Firebird Shows) is that it is frustrating to many enthusiasts to be put in a position of having to choose "either activity 'A' or activity 'B'..." - and we just noted that the BBOMG group has inadvertently scheduled a Plant Tour thru Martinrea on Saturday morning. That would mean that enthusiasts travelling long distances would have to choose either the plant tour OR the GM Presentations, the SLP Auction, the Celebrity Pick Awards, etc. Thus, we are working with the management of Martinrea to reschedule that tour to later in the afternoon of Saturday so that no one has to miss an event!
