revised Sunday outlook
I JUST PERSONALLY SPOKE WITH TOM SKILLING AND HE LOOKED AT THE ROUTE ON SUNDAY FOR ME AND HE SAIDS WE WILL HIT SOME RAIN FRONT ON THE WAY BACK ON SUNDAY BUT CHI TOWN IS GONNA BE NICE AROUND CHICAGO. He said if we could stay until Monday the drive back would be much nicer.

Another option may be to leave real early sunday ie 4-5 in the morn and get ahead of it. Or if it looks like its going to blow thru early and leave we could wait it out and leave later, We can watch the radar when we are in Memphis and then make a determination on what if anything we want to do. Its just rain so we could obviously drive in it but I am open to any suggestions anyone has. I may have more info by tomorrow night.

The front will be more towards Indiana but right now it looks like we will be rolling in and out of it along 57.

After this post I'm gonna check out what the forecast looks if we can take a more westerly approach back home. Below are the current cities along the way on the current route.
Sunday Memphis, 74 degrees and now only scattered storms and only 50 % chance of rain instead of the 70 that they were reporting yesterday

Carbondale still posts 70% chance of rain on Sunday
Mattoon posts 70 %
Champagne posts 70 %
Kankakee posts 40. %
Chi-Town 20%

It appears Carbondale is 280 miles from Manteno so thats 4 hours after we leave Manteno at 8:30 ie we will be passing the Carbondale exit at 12:30 +- so I think thats a good place to stop and grab some lunch ( a quick lunch)

Memphis Camaro Club Meet
The Memphis Camaro Club is meeting on Saturday at 4:30 at Hutton Chevy Dealership. They Emailed me and would like to meet us. The location is 14 minutes from our hotel by car. If we go there, which may be a real neat thing to do and meet our friends in Memphis, we would then presumably have to drive back to the hotel to repark our cars before taking public transportation to Beal St. By the way Beal St is a short 14 minute drive from our hotel also. The restaurant does not make reservations and there is a wait HOWEVER, I can probably press them to make an exception and give us a resv. I have been on the phone with them once already when I call back, should I push the time back, what time do you guys want to eat dinner if we go visit this dealership. I thought they were meeting earlier but I just reread the email.

Even though I am not going. I went to SIU, so I am familiar with the area and I just wanted to let you know Carbondale is about 25 minutes from Marion(ie 57 exit). You may not want to detour that far out of your way (I would if I was going) but either way have great time!

Thanks, but No we will not be doing that, I was not planning to go that far out of the way, Carbondale is too far west off the exit, we will find something along that area, closest exit closest restaurant, We will keep our eyes open for some signs, ie next exit Mccydees, Burger King, KFC ect.,

Graceland is right across the street from our hotel, literally. Although I am gonna do my best at some time to convince the security guard to let me drive up the driveway and get a picture of my camaro in front of the Home on the drive, now that would be a trip, or parked in front of his JET.
