Morris fall classic car show cruise 10/10

Daves going to scope out the local and get back to me on the appropriate meet place close to the event, boys and girls, We do have some difference of opinion on the leave time from this area, some want to get there sooner then others and we should all keep in mind that the sooner we get there the better because we have to clean are cars up from the trip! Everyone pipe in with your thoughts on my posted times especially the leave time from the westin hotel,

As always, anyone let me know if you need a radio and anyone that is going please pm me your cell phone number, We dont want to leave anyone behind!, I will bring the list with me. I will pack extra supplies for the group for cleaning if anyone forgets something, ie Glass cleaner, detailer, bug and tar remover, waxes, rags... and a portable Jump Start/Tire air compressor, Jumper cables, tools in case anyone has trouble along the way.

I will ask about getting some extra C5G window decals and bring them with for anyone that does not have one.

We should think about investing in two two stock tires on rims for an emergency on these runs. Last time we had a meet up in wheeling I remember one of our guys got laid up for a long time because the flat couldnt be fixed and we rightfully did not want to leave him behind. It would be nice if we had a club spare, front size and back that we could carry in case that happens so we can change it quickly and be on our way as a group again.

I am going to try and put togethor a travel package this week with my dealer of one extra bulb and several extra fuses of each size and shape front, rear bright, turn signal , brake, dome so that we have in case anyone blows a bulb or fuse on these trips.

Glad you can make it. IOM will definately be very well represented. You should still be able to pre-register. I would send in the $10 because Doug knew that we had club members that are going and he said that he would expect to see a lot of checks coming in late because of the problem with the website. Sorry I didn't catch your post earlier.

I'm not positive if we all need to drive in together, but I figured if we have pulled it off with 30 before, why can we do it again. If you get to the Minooka exit by 8:30 that will still put us at the show at about 9 or 9:30. I know you have to leave very early to do that. There is a special section that clubs park in,so if you get there later, you need to tell them your with our club. We got there at about 7:30 a.m. last year and walked and looked at cars and the swap meet and I don't think we saw everything. We stopped on the way and washed the car. It was so cold that the water began to freeze on the car, but it was worth it. Our daughter works at Subway and maybe we can work something out about bringing subs or something.

I will give in and tivo the bears and make it to the show. I don't mind figuring out a meet up place, I am not much more than 5 minutes from this show. I even don't mind if anyone wants to wash their car before the show in my driveway.

We could either meet in the McDonalds lot like we did on the way to clinton, or my neighborhood has a club house with a big lot, and its on the way to the show from the Minooka exit.

Thank goodness for tivo. Glad your going to make it. Either place would be good(not sure where the club house is though), we only know of the Mcdonald's and it is easy to get to. It sounds like the leave time is the issue now and getting more to sign up.

Let me talk to Dave and see where would be a good spot for you to meet up with us. Hopefully you are going to the mini-golf. If so, we can discuss it then. If not I'm sure we can find a place. We have even met up with people as they waited for us on the on ramp before. Bill could call you and tell you where they are and then you can judge on when to meet them.

Google Maps pt A is the clubhouse, yellow balloon is the show site (approximately) and purple is the mcdonalds.

I don't know if that link will work, I couldn't figure out how to paste in a picture here of the map. My clubhouse is just off of Ridge rd (the minooka exit). About 1 mile south of the McDonalds. YOu would turn left onto lakewood trails drive (if you're heading south from 80) and it will be on your left hand side very quickly. We would then continue south on Ridge to route 6 (less than a mile), head west about 5 minutes to the show.

The link doesn't show my markings. The clubhouse is right at ridge and misty creek drive on the map (the sign says lakewood trails drive on the street when you head east/left). The show is at about route 6 and tabler road.
