We celebrate National Night Out at the Police Department in Round Lake each year. It really is a nice family night out. We get a nice group of cars that come out each year, especially thanks to Chicago 5th Gen members.
Last year we give away over 450 all beef 1/4 lb. hotdogs, and ran out early! This year we Will order more, plus we have chips, and water, popcorn, and snow-cones, cotton candy, and chips.
We always have fire trucks, music, games, Police K-9 demonstrations and some local groups come out to share their wares too. This year we are again planning a climbing wall, hay rides, a puppet show and bounce houses for the kids. Airbrush tattoos, face painting, caricature drawings for the kids, and balloon animals. Maybe even a petting zoo. Please come on out, it really is a nice night out.
We will have dash plaques for all cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and a few trophies too.
Actually, we will, and have given a dash plaque to a lawn mower as long as someone rode in on it, and as long as they have fun! That's what its all about!
We will have plaques for participants choice, peoples choice, and the Mayors choice too!
