Only other place I would meet up and not worry about separation is plainfields public library or plainfield central high by the football field parking . Mrs catonfarm if you could assist with pics this could be very helpful

I will be there but could be late as I have to go into office Tuesday (all the way up on Lake Cook Road)

I will leave early, but not certain I will make the Mobile station by 4:30.

My cell is 630-965-2036. Please don't wait too long for me at Mobile, but please do hold a spot if you proceed to the Cruise without me?

          Thanks

Which way is everyone coming into town? Is the majority coming in from I55? Indian Trails Middle school is right off of i55 & 126. The lot is large enough for everyone to assemble and clean up their cars a bit from the drive in. School's out for the summer and its later in the day so the lot should be empty. (There's also Midwest Hot Rod right on 126... Their lot is a bit small and they may or may not appreciate the crowd or the attention lol)

I was thinking the plainfield library but it's only 1 block from where everyone's going. Not much of a cruise into town or an appearance. Same thing with the Walgreens.

If you met at Indian Trails, you could go down 126 into town. Hopefully time it so everyone gets through the light together. Maybe we could get help from the Plainfield PD..

Here's an overhead of where the library is (red dot ) and where everyone's going (purple)

Closer to venue we meet less likely we get separated. Doesn't matter where everyone is coming from , idea is to be simple. Still think mobile station is best solution but library or central high works well also.

Larry's Diner is a bit West of where everyone's going. You'll head east into town and may be the easiest. There isn't much between. There are a few business and that's it. It'll be more showy to come from Indian Trails.

Larry's to the entrance at Illinois Street

Here's Plainfield Central to the entrance at Illinois. Not sure if you could enter from the South on Illinois or from the North only (north entrance is what I have). Also you could go this route or go north on Rt 59, but then you'd have to turn left at a light...

Here's from PCHS to the entrance on Illinois from the South. This might be the best, short showy ride into town, through a residential area.

Left-hand turns from Rt 59 onto any other street between Fort Beggs & Lockport Street aren't allowed.

As for food .. We will be right across the street from

Wine & Cheese Shop- charcuterie & wine & sandwiches. Small amount of outside seating.

Capri Sogno - Italian. Small amount of outside seating

                        Catty corner from Capri is
Hop Scotch & Vine - excellent steaks!

                        South of us is
Front Street Cantina - Mexican. Outside seating
No website but one of our fav places to hang.

Down further East is Moe Joes. Cajun/creole food. So so so good! Another of our fav's. Fried alligator tail, fried green tomatoes, crawfish, étouffée etc..

Down a bit on the West is
Sovereign - locally sourced eclectic mix. Outside seating, craft brews, excellent burgers (and other more fancy dishes)

There's not that much parking at the Mobil. Better to use the 7-11 accross the street, it has right turn onto 126

You'll never be able to turn left into 7/11 off of 59 when you get there. And there's no way ten cars will fit in that lot at that time of day.

Just trying to lay down what I know about that area since I go through there just about daily. Shortest distance to meet and travel would be either the high school or library with less hassle or mobile. I'll make it to where ever you guys decide .
