IMHO Mobil station will not be a good place to meet. It's difficult to get in and out of the place and I really don't think that many cars will be able to maneuver around in that lot. Larry's Diner is a much better place. Not only is it bigger but you'll be coming in from the West and will have a longer stretch of road for the cars to line up.
If you'd prefer some place a bit North, there's a Meijer on Rt 59 just a few min North of the Mobil station. This might be good to make a more showy appearance down Rt 59

Mobile station is a very big lot and coming off of 126 or 59 is very easy . They have an entrance off of both 126 and 59. We will leave out of the 126 entrance turn rt on 126 a couple blocks and turn left. You can leave the cruise night from where we will be parked very easy and at any time. They do not double park you when you are there. I highly encourage and recommend all food places in downtown plainfield . These businesses rely on cruise nights in the summer for business. There probably about ten different places to eat. I like to go to millers butcher shop for some good BBQ pork ! You won't be disappointed !
It's official Mobile station it is. Closest to venue !

Don't you just love it when we all agree on something, LOL
I don't want the meet point to be at a restaurant, I want to eat in town and the downtown area thrives on cruisers eating downtown, I agree with that. So make sure you let me know if your walking to get some food so I can place my order with you, hehe.
we need a holding area for possibly 15 cars. Gary is the Mobil station really big enough for that?
on another note, I can see potentially us getting separated on Route 59 as well as much as I agree with driving down rt. 59 being a better entrance and more showy and all. Meeting at a gas station may assist some of us running late that need to refuel so they don't have to do it on the way home while they are waiting for stragglers .
we need to be able to pull out from that station TOGETHOR without a problem with traffic, ( and I ain't standing in the middle of the street holding oncoming traffic back as I have done in the past) lol Can we do that. Pardon my ignorance , but I have not been to that station before?
If you say we can then Mobil it is.
I respect what Mrs Catonform is saying, and Gary knows how I am about details and the appearance we portray when we arrive. you guys know this neighborhood better then me.
Maybe Toast can get us a picture of the Mobil station ?Last edited by Lawdog; 05-31-2015, 11:30 PM.
