OK I heard from everyone on the list below. Looks like we are all set to go. Any one else interested in going down? Hey Lawdog, this show is in a Hooters parking lot. This will give you a chance to check out the "southern gals"

Bring your 2 way radios if you have them. Channel 5 (what else would we use)

Registration begins at 9:00am with Judging starting at 12noon.

I would not mind getting there at 9:30 which means we leave around 7:30. How does this sound to everyone?

I recommend taking 47. This is a newly paved road and it is certainly more interesting than the highway.

Below is a map of what I was thinking. We could all meet @ I-55 and Hwy 47. There is a McDonalds on the South East Corner. This would be a good place to meet and nice place to grab a quick breakfast.

We could meet at 7:30am and leave no later than 7:45. From this McDonalds this is a 1:37 min drive. This will get us in at 9:30ish

we just hit pre-reg number 27 today! this is up by 20 from last year and we had 100 cars last year. Weather looks great thus far, 88 and partly cloudy, BTW.....someone in your group should bring a tent if able! There is limited shade (not many parking lots have trees lol)

DarkSS can we use tent for show? Will need to pick it up. I may not be able to bring it as I will have Grant and Ginger with me. My seT won't be able to fold down with baby seat installed.

I would love to go to this but its a bit far for me to do in one day round trip especially when I have to be up early on Sunday and I cant stay the night. Sorry, now if I could bring my own Hooter girl I probably would change my mind, but I havent seen her in awhile, HAHAHA

Just picked up our flat screen tv, cd/dvd player, head unit, speakers, and many other raffle prizes for saturday! We have tons more to get tomorrow!!!

Also we are going to be doing a money grab bag....you buy a ticket (or two or three lol) and you have a chance to win your money back, double it, triple it or more

Plus 50/50, silent auction etc.

Just got off the phone with Virgil Coffman. He is sorry he will be unable to attend. His nephew is having a party with about 70 people and he has already committed to this party.

He wanted me to tell all of you he enjoyed the last get together and he is working on getting his engine cover painted yellow. Apparently follow the show he went to his GM dealership to see about getting a painted one... but GM has them on back order. Hopefully the next time we see him he will have a painted engine cover.

I sent him pictures of our last outing and he has added them to his collection in his trunk. Make sure you ask Virgil to show you his trunk... he is very proud of the things he has been collecting from GM and others.

Oh well maybe next time.... perhaps we can just arrange a lunch cruise to Decatur, IL just for a quick meet up with Virgil.

I'm going to make the trip down tomorrow. It's a 3+ hour drive each way but it looks like it'll be a good show. I'm not sure if I'll meet up with you guys early or not, but I'll be at the show! See y'all there!!!

No rain still for tomorrow here! We are getting some showers right now but nothing to scare anyone off because tomorrow is CLEAR!
