    Going for a drive/show on Saturday

    So I got invited by the shop that painted Karla's and my Camaros to go "back home" to attend a 1st run car show event in my home town this Saturday, July 27th.

    It's a bit of a trip, running about 2.25 hours from Naperville area, northwest, about 50 minutes from Galena, in the itty bitty town of Lena.

    There will be lots of food vendors out, as it's billed as "Taste of Lena" (gotta love small-town thinking) - including roasting an entire beef - yum!

    Registration day-of is $12.


    Anybody interested in tagging along?

        Have fun on the Dragon. Don't forget to find some of the other roads in the area. Lots of fun.

              Realized I haven't posted an update - Very good turnout for a first year event - right at 120 cars/trucks/bikes. All manner of cars and trucks, though there were a few that left me scratching my head.

              Came home with this:


              The only other 5th gen there took 1st and kid's choice.
