Gary Lang Auto Group is holding their 16th annual Classic Car Show Sunday, July 21st. The Show will go on rain or shine from 9 am - 3 pm. Registration for entries is from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
All makes and models are welcome and entry into the competition is free. Dash plaques will be handed out for the first 100 cars to arrive at the event. The awards ceremony begins at 3 p.m. and trophies will be awarded for each of the 26 categories. The categories encompass 110 years of automotive history and include classes such as "1900-1942 Street Rods" and "1968-1975 CORVETTE." The judges of the contest will be the owners of the classic cars themselves.
For the second year, the suggested admission fee is $5, with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army in McHenry, for their annual school supply drive. Drop boxes for school supplies will also be available at the show.
Gary Lang will also have pre-registration available online on their website for the Car Show Registration.
Admission to the public is free and everyone is welcome. Food vendors will be on hand and D.J. Jeff James will be on site to provide music and entertainment all day.
Gary Lang stated, "Every year we strive to make this event the best Classic Car Show ever. Last year, everyone was happy to help the local Salvation Army with their annual school supply drive for local children in need. We hope we can continue to help raise awareness for this great cause."
