I know that Double K is having his first show at Augustino's on May 14th, next Tuesday in West Chicago. All these ideas are great and the more we do the more we will get to know everyone.

Some of the older members have mentioned to me it seems like they don't know many people these days and at the Hooters event there were people there who I've been talking to for over a year on the internet but had no idea they were at Hooters. I feel bad missing out on a chance to hang out with some of my people even though they were only a few feet away from me.

Can we put together an event on the weekend so everyone can meet? At some places like the bowling alley the music was so loud it was hard to walk around and say hi to folks simply because no one can hear themselves think.

Maybe a picnic area or a restaurant where we all can sit down? Would any of you be interested?

I agree here, I know when I had my 300 we would have an annual kick off picnic in Utica every year usually in April. I was also wondering about the forums functionality to see if it has the capability to send out email blasts to all the people registered on the forum. That way you can get the word out more to people who don't always follow every thread. I personally know several people here that don't always know about the scheduled events and having an email reminder sent out might help with awareness.

We could potentially send emails, but there are a number of old or outdated email addresses in people's accounts.

I think at the next meeting we should seriously all stand up, introduce ourselves, state what we do for a living, married, single, children and town we live in and the type of car we drive so we can put some attributes with the face to help us remember each other better. I am terrible in remembering names with faces, I need to work on that I know, I could use any help I can get to put it together. this may help people find others with similar interests as well, could even state a hobby you have outside of cars during this intro period.
