One last question my dad wants me to ask.. me being 18 and probably going to be the youngest person there, he is afraid that many of the adults will be drinking in the bar at the hotel and that I'll be left alone in the room or by myself.. he's just wondering what you all do at the hotel when there are no events or downtime.. he's just trying to be a protective father and make sure I'm safe and having fun so sorry if anyone finds this annoying lol. thanks again

No problem, it's a good question, last year we hung out by our cars in the parking lot in the evening and talked, after dinner. Some were so tired they went up and went to sleep, others hung out and bs'd for awhile and looked at the other hundreds of Camaros there, lol.
The parking lot of the hotel is basically one big party, Thursday, Friday Saturday nite.

Tell him not to worry, if you are a responsible adult, you will do just fine. Just make smart choices, LOL, For the most part C5G members are responsible individuals who look out for each other, well most of them anyway, lol.

if you have not traveled by yourself a lot and he is rightfully concerned, then just error on the side of being safety minded and cautious of your property and health in all of the decisions you make. AND HAVE FUN !

You won't be spending much time alone in your room. If you want to go to breakfast lunch or dinner with others all you got to do is ask if somebody hasn't already told you come on were going for bfast or dinner.

Or you can bring him along !

Oh and kudos to you, advertising your a single guy with a Camaro at camarofest, with a hotel room and afraid of being alone in your room, I'm sure you will get a few responses, LOL

Motorcycle helmets normally aren't flame resistant or fire proof. Main reason they aren't approved.

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

Lawdog has good advice. Listen to him because I'm sure he's speaking from experience. I'll say that you probably will be the youngest Camaro owner, but certainly not the youngest person there. You'll see quite a few families there including young kids. There will be drinking in the parking lot, but most people are respectful and it doesn't get out of hand for the most part. You can easily avoid all of that without being locked in your room. Do bring your Dad if that will work out.

Just so you know, there will be a C5G caravan that you join going to and from Indy.

Hey Ryan... You and / or your dad don't have to worry about a thing. I have a 17 year old son, and I know exactly where you are coming from. My son will most likely go as well, so there, you will have someone closer to your age to hang out with if needed. And, if you need some parental ghuideance while you are there, I will certainly be there for you, as will my wife, as will your C5G family. Your in good hands!

What was the route that people took through chicago? This is my first fest and would enjoy the company driving down to indy. What were some of the meet up points?

Stacy, I am in the milwaukee area, what was your route last year?

                    Oh and Ryan...
My wife and I will not be drinking as I am sure others as well, more interested in seeing the other camaros than a big party. I am sure once you are there you will find thoses with similar interests.

We had a few meet points from north to South, last one being the last tollway oasis on 294 before 80
