For those near Joliet, here's a two-day track event at the Joliet Autobahn on May 19-20th. The only caveat is that you must be a member of the Northwoods' Shelby club which only costs $20 a year. You can do one or both days. Two days cost me $390 which included the membership fee. (I am verifying the Saturday schedule since my original schedule showed a track session time at 8:30 AM.)
This year’s Inaugural ‘Northwoods Gran Prix’ presents an exclusive opportunity to high speed tour "full track" in addition to the traditional North & South track venue.
This year we struck a special agreement with Autobahn Management to begin Saturday on the North track and finish the day on the full track. Sunday venue on the South track remains unchanged.
Details:
• Saturday 12:00 pm to 5:00 (three 20 min sessions) – North Track (1.5 miles, 9 turns)
• Saturday 5:30 pm to 8:00 (three 20min sessions) – Full Track ( 3.5 miles, 22 turns)
• Sunday 8:30 am to 5:00 (five 20 min sessions) – South Track (2.1 miles, 15 turns w / 2000’ straight)
Drive your car to its maximum potential on three exhilarating road racing layouts at one of America’s finest private road-race courses.
Special note – Beat the late fees and sign up prior to April 3rd, 2012.
