The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

I think my clutch is on its last legs, but that's been coming for a while now.. It's not really up to spec for the demands the rest of the car is placing on it now.
I had been told about how rough this track is on pads, tires and rotors, but I didn't imagine it was that tough. Found that out the first day when my clutch and brakes started going away due to the OEM fluids. Got that replaced with the Motul RBF600 on Day 2 and the brakes were much better. There was some softening towards the end of the day, but it was understandable and very light. The clutch pedal still got all wonky on me, but that's because there was still some OEM fluid left inside the system I couldn't bleed in the pits. Once I get the replacement screws for the clutch separation kit, that will be going on and a full system flush.
Over all, I had a wonderful time there. Al was very informative and knowledgeable about the track. There's certainly a lot to take in going from drag racing to an event like this. All the markers, turns, the traffic, dealing with the braking, up/down shifting, clutch at the right time, finding the line, listening to the instruction, watching for flags all at the same time... Certainly much more going on than simply watching the tree.

Cars looked good and Randy yours looked fast on the straight section...
Thanks!
My 5th gear kept not wanting to engage, either due to me not shifting it correctly at that speed or it just not being happy about something. I tried a couple times on most of the laps, it just didn't want to go in and I wasn't about to force it.
